Man, this site has stirred up some fond memories for me- I just wish I could remember more people's names. Is there anyone that knows what has happened to Arthur Peuckert, Francois vd Merwe, Corne Schreuder/(Gomes?), Rudi Heustens, and Anien Brink and where in the world they are?

I knew Joof had a brother, but if I remember correctly you were a few years younger than us? Welcome on the site, it's wonderful here, we're one big family and always something one of the members post that charges up the good memories.

Bertie- Joof is my younger brother (1 yr). Hope someone picks up on the thread that remembers the people I mentioned. Strange how for many years you forget about them and it all comes back to you when you see old photos of the place. Man, that pool kept me sane during some strange times in my  life.

I may have you mistaken with another Horak- I seem to recall that his dad was a fairly snr. officer in the SAP.

Hi Sheena- Ons hele clan het geswem. Van waar af ken ons mekaar & skuus dat ek nie jou naam onthou nie- as my eie naam nie op my bestuurslisensie was nie het ek dit ook vergeet. My broer is in Walvis, die suster waaraan jy dink is in Swakop en die res van die familie is in verskeie plekke in en om Kaapstad. Ek het die afgelope 7 jaar of wat in New Zealand gebly en bly op die oomblik in Cleveland in Australia (Queensland). Jy?

Van 1973 tot Nov 2008 in Oranjemund gebly.  Nou in Windhoek.
Onthou julle van die swem in Oranjemund met Eileen Shepard.  Ek en Sandy het ook albei by haar geswem.
Ek was toevallig verlede Jan in New Zealand - world bowls daar gespeel.  Dis ñ wonderlike land.

Ek onthou ook jou naam en die feit dat julle almal so goed geswem het. Anien (Brink) sover ek weet bly nog in Oranjemund sy is getroud met Martin Niemand (ook n naam wat jy dalk uit die "ou" dae sal onthou??) Michael kan miskien vir jou n kontak nommer gee.  Ek is die sussie van Vicky, Susan, Billy en Stephen Lineker (miskien jog dit n memory).

Iewers op die boards is daar n baie nice foto van die swemspan van die laat 70's - laat my weet as jy dit nie kry nie dan sal ek dit probeer soek - ek het n idee jy is daarop?!!
