My dads on the piss again, moaning that now that he's retired he wants to die.... he goes this way when he's on the piss...... Anyhow with the utmost respect this got me to thinking.... with all the wandering around the graveyard and all, what would it be like to have a big well known company sponsor your tombstone and then they  could put their slogan or catchphrase on your headstone.... In jest , here are a few...

Pickfords (once again could be another removal company) - we move people

I came across this topic while scrolling through the archives and liked Mike's idea of gravestone sponsorship. It came to mind that SA once had a funeral company called (I kid you not): Human and Pitt. How apt, and doubtless without a sense of irony.
Re apt titles for companies we have here a building company called Strongman and Dunn. Who wouldn't rush to employ such a builder?

we once had a family friend who worked for a Undertaker . The boss had him on the red carpet because he overheard the assistant answering the phone ; "Thankyou for calling Jones & Rice , we are the last people to let you down " !

The late Frank Robb of sailing fame convinced his two partners, Tony Swindell and Dave Steel,to name their proposed yacht broking firm Robb and Associates. They agreed when he asked them to imagine the receptionist answering the phone with "Hello, this is Robb, Swindell and Steel, may I help you?"
