Connection Help!

I am currently battling to connect to www.simplemachines.org Can some of you try and connect to this site, and if you have success, let me know and where in the world you are...

I'm more concerned, why I cannot connect.... So you can get to the site?

Go to the downloads section, see what the size is off the latest release, I think it is ver 2.0 RC1, not the full file, but the upgrade file.... I need to know how large it is....

The zip file for upgrade of 2.0 RC1 is 2,4 MB, there's also 2 other options except the zip file.

Mike, They have this warning under the download button of the file:

"Note: As this is not a final release, we do not recommend running SMF 2.0 RC1 on a production site."

Ok...Thanks for that.... I am just busy resetting my firewall, somewhere on my machine something is preventing me from accessing that site.... and I need to upgrade the software for this forum, as I want to start the quiz software... I am doing a full rescan of my system...take awhile, gotta find out whats blocking me....

Ps... yep yep.... they always say that, it's to cover them if a commercial site bombs out.....

No thanks Di, I think the guys are doing a great job as it is. It's just great that there's so many possibilities with all of us being all over the world, with different systems, dialups, and local setups which makes it possible to get help from somewhere else. It's like we are all extensions of one big organism. It just so happens that I was logged on at the time, and had a great connection speed at that time of the morning, so I could help. In any case, it's a bit dangerous to put me in a position where it's possible for me to cause havoc. Won't want to destroy the site with one single keyboard stroke!

I can do with my name in GREEN though!
