WHO CAN REMEMBER ROY AND HIS PLANE,AT ORANJEMUND AIRPORT.MANY A SUNDAY ,YOU WOULD SEE HIM FLYING ABOVE ORANJEMUND ,HE WOULD BE THAT LOW YOU COULD WAVE TO HIM AS HE FLEW PAST SMOKING HIS PIPE,MISSING YOUR TV POLE AND YOUR HOUSE ROOF.AND FLYING UPSIDE DOWN...HOW AND WHERE DID THE PLANE COME FROM? WISH I HAD A TOY LIKE ROY.

Sharon

My dad learnt to fly in the UK as well as his boet Norman, I will have to ask my mum. He took us out once and we had the dog in the back.....typical hey, well, we flew to "kleinzee" I think, not sure. (we were there with the youth club once for a disco, that's where Chris Peace came from, I think. Where is Chris now?" well, back to my dad flying. I went once and we had to shout out "prop" before take off, Standard procedure I think. Well, he let me fly once. Wow it was great. He would always fly over our house and "wave" by diping the plane wings from left to right and that is what a wave was. Fantastic and thanks for remember him in that way. I also remember my dad took Stephanie, when in England I think, to a plane field and she got to fly in a "Moth" one of the old fashioned planes and she did the "loop de loop" how scary that must have been.
