Me ?? peed off with my bank ....

The  reason for me being peed  off ?? no not bad service  .. I have no complaints there ( but then again I always  have  demanded the best from them and got it ) ... I got an email from the Cape Orchid society   reminding us of an   upcoming  concert  at Kirstenbosch gardens ..  the purpose of this concert was to  help raise funds  for  Kirstenbosch gardens   trip to  the Chelsea   show in England ... the explanation was that FNB had withdrawn  sponsorship  for that event ...  and yes i got a good idea why ....  methinks its cost over run for  the 2010  that FNB is also covering  , yes i do not begrudge them that  they  sponsor that  event which  I think nothing of  as you all know my opinion already ..  huge cost over runs  that will be borne by the national and  local  fiscus ( MM more tax ?? )  .. Fifa thinking they  God in our city ... fat  salaried  administrators .. overpaid prima donna  players .. Uuugh .. and when its all over  Fifa move on ... we left with  huge stadiums that we gonna battle to keep viable  etc etc  another Uugh!!  whereas .. Kirstenbosch gardens have been around for yonks .. The Chelsea show has been around for yonks  and both will  be around for yonks ... and yes each year  Kirstenbosch  garner  a first prize ..  it should be a matter of  nation wide pride .. its  a national heritage  . yes and cultured .. but yes maybe my bank  does not think heritage and culture are important , and yes a growing population here ..  ... so me currently bombing them with letters    expressing my deep  disapointment .. lots of work .. getting through  phone calls trying to locate the gods of these organisations as they  get better  at insulating themselves each year  .. and also  the newspapers .. hope they publish ...  if  you have a feeling here or an opinion here  .. let it be known ...

In the meantime whilst FNB are busy procrastinating.  Is there no other way that money could be raised in the meantime? 

I am sure that the people of Cape Town would be willing to open their purses and contribute to a good cause?

Does one know how much money will be needed ?

Perhaps a music festival, Gala Dinner, Orchestra in the Park..

Well obviously  Kirstenbosch  are actively  looking for other sponsors .. FNB are not procrastinating  they  just  withdrew  sponsorship  and  methinks for the obvious reason .. their  allowance for  sponsorship has been taken  up   by  the  almighty Fifa worldcup  once in a  ..  flash in pan .. .. and yes I suppose there  will be  more fundraisers , they have not  thrived over the years  living on handouts  either ...  its just my displeasure at what  I regard as the reason .. dumping culture and heritage for  .......
