Hi All,

These photo's remind us both of the terrible fires that ravaged the Helderberg Mountains and surrounding area since early Feb. We could look out of our windows and see the flames at night especially around Sir Lowrys Pass area. As said, a spectacular sight to see but devastating to those directly affected

All fine here ,,  was only online late last night ... had dinner guests  the last being   shoehorned out of door  at 01:00   head a bit     today ..   yes its quite a sight .. standing on the upstairs  deck  I just saw   cinders flying overhead .  and yes thick smoke .. my home smells like a kaya now .. my car smells like a kaya .. all my clothing has this  smoky aroma  and we getting a constant settling of ash ..  even ash getting into house .. still smouldering  away in spots  seen it coming back from gym tonight ...  fire tenders  parked  at top of  hospital hill  ....
