Hi all,

Listen, Albert made the best bloody carpetbagger ever!!! In Hexen Kessel and at the Buccaneer in CT.  Never had a better steak!  He also used to make a toasted stack sandwich in the Hexen Kessel. I was a lighty then but remember going with Debby, Geraldine Mckay and company for it every Saturday morning.  Was the best!

Absolutley, the chicken, mayo & asparagus sarmies were the best. I think it had to do with the home made mayo.
Albert was a great chef, as long as you did'nt complain about the food. If you complained, he would make the waiters point out the victim through the little window of the kitchen and you don't want to know what he did to your food after that. Many a steak was drop kicked around the kitchen. Bless him.

Albert was well known in CT for being 1 of the few chefs who knew how to cook a calamari steak to perfection - i'm talking about his days at the Buccanner - alan taylor and i popped in one night to say hi to him and have a decent calamari steak - difficult to cook properly i believe, but albert had it down to perfection, smothered in the most divine white wine sauce...........mmm, my mouth's watering just thinking about it.

Yeah, I remember Albert's steaks too . . . also recall him telling us about the treatment he gave one of the senior executive's steaks that was returned.  To this day, I will not return a steak to the kitchen, no matter how crappy it may be!!!

Hey, Juanita . . . if you find Barbara Browless' email address, please pass it my way - Thank you.

Regards to all,
Keith.
