OBSERVED LAST EVENING .. STRANGE WEATHER .. BUT SUNSET  TOOK  SOME PICS .. I PANNED FROM VIEW OF MOUNTAIN  AND LIONS HEAD ACROSS ,,,  LAST ONE GOT THE RAINBOW OVER BELLVILLE .. ANYONE GET RICH ??

No hail .. just 3 minutes of huge raindrops ,,,

Indeed strange weather for Cape Town, Sandy.  These thunderstorms, and huge drops with rain coming from the south/southwest really out of the norm.  Sign of the times?  Seasons are confused?  Even the plants are confused. Usually this time of the year the nettle is everywhere, but they're only starting to show their first leaves above ground now...  Even my Jakaranda tree is very confused - it has new seed pods, while the previous season's seeds are still hanging, and it shows signs of losing leaves, but also new leaves visible and even a few flowers!  Poor tree.
