MY DAD WORKED AT THE MINE
I REMEMBER SWALLOWING THREE DIAMONDS JUST AS I WAS POTTY TRAINED AND HAD TO GO BACK ON THE POTTY FOR A FEW DAYS.
PEOPLE I REMEMBER:STEVEN JOUBERT,PATTERSONS.PENNY JEW AND THE BORCHEDS(DAD WAS THE MAYOR)AND THEY ALSO HAD SOME BIG TORTOISES.
THE DIVING HELMET AT THE SHELL HOLE(MOTHS)WAS GIVEN BY MY DAD WHO WAS ALSO OLD BILL IN THOSE DAYS.ALSO HAVE A SIVER PLATE GIVEN TO MY MOM BY THE SHELL HOLE INCRIBED TO HER.
I REMEMBER THE BIOSCOPE AND THE SWIMMING POOL.THE PINK PAN WITH ITS FLAMINGOS AND THE POWER STATION AND A FOOFY SLIDE.IN 1966 MOVED TO SOMERSET WEST FROM PORT NOLLITH BY SHIP.

Your Dads picture is still in the shellhole.  Leila and I saw it there last September.  Your folks and Leilas (Austin clan) were friends in CDM and later in S/West.. Aunty Joan we knew her as.  That was in the 1970's.

GOT A HALF BROTHER NAMED JEFFERY. HE WAS IN DURBAN MOST OF HIS LIFE AND NOW IS IN CAPE TOWN. YOU CAN GET HOLD OF HIM ON FACE BOOK.

Hi, my name is Gerald Nagel. We moved to Oranjemund from Stutterheim in 1959 and moved to Transvaal end 1963. I have fond memories such as the christmas parties, my father Bernie, playing music over the Ham radio, visits to the Bioscope. Two sisters aged about 11 and 12 with long hair used to take me to bioscope. I know they attended the Voortrekkers in green dresses every week. Sorry I cannot recall names.
