RIP Duif Whatley

Duif Whatley ... Wife of Fred Whatley , Mother of Ronel and Lenore passed away peacefully in Sedgefield at about 07:30 this morning after a long time in ill health . 20/6/1929 - 11/8/2009 80 years a good innings ... I visited Ronel yesterday afternoon before she was due to travel back to Sedgefield on the bus this at 05:30 morning . We chatted about her Mom yesterday afternoon , she said how frail she had become and that she was prepared for the inevitable ..
Ronel has asked me to post this for her as she was still on the bus and would be arrriving in Sedgefield at about 14:00 .
I have lots of good memories of Duif and Fred their parties and open house for us teens and young adults , even when I visited in her last years still remaining chipper and keeping her humour ..
I think it appropriate to post some pics of her years when she was hale and healthy as that is as we would want to remember folk ..
Duif Rest in peace and my condolences to the Whatley and Gotsch families .

Correction Mike .. its a 70 Escort (not as in miss Destiny from somerset st ) and yes the huge ford bakkie belonged to Carlo , Lenores husband ... but yes you did not get to see Freds 70's black Valiant .. still going believe it or not .. next time I will take a snap of it ...
