FOUNDING President Sam Nujoma accused Britain, the United States and Germany of violating democracy and human rights in parts of the world such as Iraq, Afghanistan and in Zimbabwe at a Swapo rally at Ongwediva on Saturday, Nujoma claimed that British and American "imperialists" are imposing sanctions on Zimbabwe because its President Robert Mugabe is fighting to provide land to his people.

"The British want to be beaten up. Anyone find an Englishman, do so, beat him up," Nujoma said.
He said, SADC countries are united and will stand up to anyone who violates the rights of one of its member countries.
"Let us beat them, not with knopkieries, but with hammers in their heads, if they touch one of our SADC countries," Nujoma said.
"The whites must know that if they continue doing us harm, we will definitely beat them. They must take their hands away from Zimbabwe," Nujoma told the Swapo crowd.
He accused the "imperialists" of wanting to exploit Namibia's natural resources, such as copper, because Namibians are not skilled enough to do anything with these resources themselves.
"They want to take away our wealth, our natural materials, and other rights through EPA," Nujoma said.
"They talk about human rights and democracy. Where do they know human rights and democracy if they kill Asians, Iraqis and Afghanis daily?" Nujoma charged.
"They want to take President Mugabe away from his Presidential position in Zimbabwe, and then from there to us here. Be careful. If they come here we will show them and teach them a lesson as we did to South Africa during the liberation war," Nujoma said.
He called on all Namibians to be ready to fight against "the imperialists now killing people in Iraq and Afghanistan", because it was possible that they would come to Africa next.
Nujoma accused Namibian newspapers of failing to report on "Americans killing people in Iraq and Afghanistan".
Nujoma said he also did not want people criticising President Hifikepunye Pohamba, "like those white newspapers who are doing so".
"Those newspapers must know, the day God will be away from them, and Satan comes to them, we will deal with them," Nujoma said.
Nujoma had a prepared speech of more than six pages in English, but did not use it and delivered his speech in Oshiwambo."

I heard a funny story from one of the students in Windhoek.  Apparently one of our high up members in politics had a  talk to the university students and told them that the USA think they are clever for going to the moon.  We, in Namibia, will be going to the sun..
One of the students asked him how he intends to go to the sun.  His answer "at night".

All these  misguided populist rantings .. one ought  to  rip their tongues out and feed   to the dogs .. i wrote into the  ANC  site the same comment  when Jesse Duarte the glib tongued ANC apologist  dared to insult and honourable person in the  being of  Desmond Tutu .. who  has always  opened his mouth  whenever he saw injustice .. in the old  days of apartheid and   to this day he remains critical  of  this govt as well ...  she said we do not take notice of old men ...  silly b...  she  conveniently  forgot that if  not for his courageious efforts over the years  they would not have had the  golden egg handed to them ...   they never responded .. but then maybe the MIB are watching me ...

Latest Ranting this week, televised on the SWAPO TV CHannel, NBC, the founding, great ;eader. el supremo, excellency, his majesty, the worshipfull, doctor,el Presidento stated  'All Whites are poisonous snakes!"

"The Mamba Speech Raises Ire


ALLOW me to comment on the former President Dr Sam Nujoma's speech at a recent election rally for Swapo party at Ongwediva as reported on NBC TV news saying whites are as poisonous as the mamba snake. How does he expect these white people to feel?

To make matters worse he was speaking in his vernacular language explicitly laying down his insults. Some of these whites are staunch supporters of Swapo Party. Having benefited and enjoyed their support for almost two decades he has now turned against them. This is unacceptable in terms of human rights. According to the Namibian Constitution Article 6, 8 and 10 protection of life and respect for human dignity should be adhered to by all while discrimination of any kind from any quarter is a serious crime. All persons shall be equal before the law and no persons may be discriminated against on the grounds of sex, race, colour, ethnic, religion, creed or socio-economic grounds, says the Constitution. The speech of the former President is indeed in violation of the above stated human rights.
This is unbecoming of the said Father of the Nation. Please Mr Former President, command respect to be respected. When you made this speech at Ongwediva, you represented the majority of the Namibians especially the Swapo Party members, hence such a speech undermines the Namibian nation. It does not give a good image to the Africans and to the world, and it displays intense political immaturity. I strongly feel that he needs to give an apology for such a speech to the victims, but more importantly to the Namibian nation."

Guess where my vote will be going this year......

Yes! I gave that a thought today, after the number of folk that I encouraged to go and register today, asked me which party they must vote for....... Turns out you need 10 000 signatures to register your party and then 10 000 votes gets your party one seat in the parly......... left it a bit late this year... will put more effort into it in the next election though.....

Got any name suggestions.....

The story  is  if there is no   opposition party that even  fits your heart .. vote  for it ... it creates  a bigger diversity ...  in the  60's 70's and into the 80's the  kappiekommando  and the OB supporters  sooner  voted for the then  Left wing  Federal/  United party   ( sorry forgot all the  names )  but yes they would sooner vote for likes  of  Helen  Suzman  (  God rest her  hard working  principled  , feisty  and honourable soul ) than for the Nats  whom they hated ...
And  yes Mike  its so damm important  to  vote against this  rising  tide  of racial hatred ... these  politicians make a mockery of the very  consitutional  rights they  wrote in ..  their is only  one form of democracy    and thats their version ...  actually   if one could  .. teach them a lesson  and  all  the  white devils  leave the country  and then they will se how  long the  goose keeps on laying the golden egg .. unless of  course they  go into begging bowl  mode ...  Uuuugh !!!  stupid utterings to try  win favour with the populace ..  currently here the  amount of  service delivery  riots  .. but then they  try  to deflect  saying this evening that  if the Western Cape under   Ms Zille  does not   start delivering   soon  they will strip the western cape of its executive powers ...  HELOOO ..   who  f... d it  up in the first place   with many years of total  maladministration ???    they still got their problems  to sort out  for  now  try to deflect attention  .. fffg  palukas ...  so    Sam  yes  take  your  poisonous  tongue ... cut  it   out and  eat  it ...

I like the way that when in South Africa, things go for a loop and the elected officials cannot explain their way out of their scenario, that they then blame the mysterious "3rd Force"

This "3rd Force" should form a political party sometime, as it seems that at least they can organise things to happen.....

You know, I've never voted before. Often, pre-election people ask me if I'm going to vote and my response has always been the same. The ruling party has a majority, while like any political leadership they've had their problems, they have still delivered. My lot in life has not degraded since SWAPO took over and they were never likely to lose an election without my vote. If I were to have voted in any previous election, I probably would have voted SWAPO because they fairly represented me and my needs. As a matter of fact, the only time I'll ever vote is if I feel threatened, if I feel that my lot in life has lost value and if I perceive any of my values, principles or those of my family and friends are at risk.

That day, my fellow forum-ers, has now arrived. Myself and my wife have registered and we will vote because key (and fundamentally generic human) principles and values have been eroded. We recognise that the founding father has by all accounts lost some of his senses and has become prone to rambling nonsensical speeches, often off the cuff and fuelled by the intensity of his supporters during the speech. So I don't really have a problem when he calls for supporters to smack white people with hammers, or refers to white people as snakes (or even hint that Namibian scientists are actively working on nuclear weapons - the closest the Polytech graduates have ever got to this has been finding the 'on' button a microwave). What I do have a problem with is that the SWAPO leadership continues to allow him to speak at rallies off the cuff, I do have a problem that the party leadership has yet to distance itself from these statements publicly and I do have a problem that an apology is not forthcoming. Press statements hint that the issue has been raised to the Ombudsman and, if that is the case, the complete lack of action clearly indicates that the autonomy of that office is in serious question.

I will be voting in the next election, and the next, and the next... until I am fairly represented again. Long live Namibia!

About time Paul ...  sad thing is power corrupts .. absolute power  corrupts even more and becomes downright dangerous ..   strangely enough being in power for too long seems to turn most brains  into goats head soup mush  .. all reason lost ...  so yes viable opposition  and not  too  late  sooner earlier ...     sadly so they  still choosing the  sad and tired old race card  instead  saying hey  citizens  stand up  GROW UP ...  and lets make this fair country work ...   forget the past .. embrace the  present.. and  build   the future ...

Very interesting reading ...    and yes   without  going  into  the race card  , instead expressing the truth  as it stands  in reality ..  the  " other  populace"  of Namibia  is mainly productive ..  good reason  for not being seen  at  rallies , they  mainly dedicated to  their work ..  and yes  by working  and having businesses   provide work opportunities and yes also pay  taxes that keep these  mindless windbags  in politics  in  a job  in the corridoors  of power ..  a fact they  so conveniently  forget when at their rallies ...
They  see the problems  ,, they know the problems but dont have the balls  or  inclination to  try do something about them for  fear or  rattling the comfortable cages  they live in ...  instead  blame the problem  on others .. problem   is  for how long van they do it ??  but  then again  the short term is  always the  easiest ..   blame ...  shift focus  from your shortcomings ...   hoping to make it in  comfort for a bit longer .. hoping that the   general populace   will remain dumbed down forever to  believe your unfounded   untruths ,  and when caught out   also blame it  on the previous regime ...   Uuugh .. still happening here ... and yes  its  time the  " other  populace " of  namibia  and  tes  southern Africa  stood  up and  demanded their  fair  treatment under the  wonderful  documents called  constitutions  that    they in power were instrumental in  drafting , but yes  secretly  in their hearts commiting  them to mere  window dressing ...     so yes  ,, "other Namibians " and   "other South africans "  time to stand up  and be counted ...  Me  I  do it via  newspaper  as you  have seen  my contributions  to national   media  posted  on this site ...   challenging  etc .. MIB  can go to hell ...
