Hi Bob!! and all on this forum its a fine line we walk and in these situation and Bob I take your point
'Quote We have adequate common law to protect us',

There is a small group of islands to the east of Australia, the main island is called Fiji, about one third of the population are Indo-Fijians, mainly descendants from India.  They are mostly descended from indentured labourers brought to the islands by Fiji's British colonial rulers between 1879 and 1916 to work on Fiji's sugar cane plantations.   The Fiji Indians have fought for equal rights, although with only limited success. Many have left Fiji in search of better living conditions and social justice and this exodus has gained pace with the series of coups starting in the late 1980s.

The coups started with Lieutenant Colonel Sitiveni Rabuka, in 1987 and to the present leader Commodore Frank Bainimarama!! what this boils down to is the indigenous Fijians were being taken over (government) by a foreign people although most were born there, but their culture and religion Hindu and Muslim was in conflict with the indigenous Fijian's religion.

Although a substantial majority of the House of Representatives (Ethnic Indians outnumbered indigenous Fijians from 1956 through the late 1980s) were reserved for indigenous Fijians, the majority of indigenous Fijians were obviously threatened.............................so they took the action which today is still in place.

The rest of the world has had its say and their politicians have condemned the interim administration.

I do remember the Indian nation getting upset when Britain made it part of their Empire.      yesno

Hi Bob,
yes I know what you are saying.........I consider myself an atheist...and do strongly  believe that 99%
of wars are over religion.....I don't dislike anyone who's is muslim or otherwise.....but don't try and  take over
our country....am very much aginst the Iraq/afghan/ etc wars.........there are good  and bad on both sides... but  am not explaining my self very well....... it is very frustrating when very radical muslims are allowed to stir up trouble and hating uk and yet they LIVE here!!! Why don't they go and sort out their own country???
