Pity I dont have  a phone line to  phone my Mom , she always had the answers ... but yes I'm digging  into memory cells ,, I'm sure  Bocherds  was the AGM .. , they had the luxury in those days of an assistant to  the GM ...pretty much as   Colin  hartleys father was also an AGM ... the AGM's house  was up the road  from GM's  house ,, closer to the power station ...  anybody got  feedback on this one .???

Yes closer to the power station, next to the tennis courts same street the block diagonally across the circle looks a bit further due to the wide grass verge down 5th Ave and the narrow gravel back rd of 6th Ave and of course the reservoir on the end of the GM block

Thanks Alfred  for the  description .. .... I always recall there being a GM and  an AGM ......   deputy dawg ...........  16_1_231

32 - 6th Avenue. Been the AGM's house as long as I can remember.
On the photo it's on the end of the block that the bakkie has just passed.
Heard that it used to be the GM's house before they built that new pad called 1 - 10th Street. (Sounds a bit like like No10 Downing Street)

All things electrical contain smoke. Making it come out is easy; getting it back in? ... yeah right!!!

So the AGMs house is not on the pic?
We must be looking at 5th Ave. The house most left was the Morrows home in the 70s. I'm sure...

Oh alright then Sandy....so RIGHT you are. Spoke with my mom to-day and she is quite adamant that Mr Borchards was the AGM not the GM. Me thinks I'll just carry on   quickdop

So Sandy you talking about the now AGM house was the GM's house in your days

Diana Rudd (Boehme)

Excuse me Alfred we not  trex-073 you know. The GM had his to-day GM house in our days.
AGM house there opposite the open ground opposite the bendy road in front of the then police station and back of post office. Just a bit further down behind the tennis courts.    drinking-41
