Wow, what a shock to read this news ..... Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time.  My Dad (Dave Lineker) is visiting at the moment while recovering from a back operation and I am sure he too would send LOTS of love!!

Our Father, Jock (Jack) Alexander, Passed away this morning at about 08h30 this morning after suffering a massive heart attack.

Our father had friends, the world over on every continent of the world. All these people once lived and worked in  Oranjemund.

He will be missed by his clan ~ Paul, Stephen, Michael, Michele, Melanie, Christa, Shannon, Cameron, Kelvin, CJ, Stephanie, Kayla, Ethan and Buddy his sidekick dog!

Very sorry to hear about your sad loss; Jock was a top bloke.......... the salt of the earth. Along with a few other Oranjemund residents; Jock made our lives there as contractors all the more better by showing us what true hospitality was all about. A real top bloke....... stay strong. Hi All,

Many thanks for the kind words and thoughts. We are thankful for the fact that his passing was fast and relatively painless, thankful that we, his boys, could be there and thankful that at last he can can be truly free from the grief he has always felt since our mom passed in June of 1994. The next few days will be hectic as we make arrangements however, if there is one legacy that I wish for our dad to have left behind, it's not the physical and material sort its the legacy he has left in the memories and minds of all those with whom he (and our mom) interacted during their amazing lives.
