Spent an hour this afternoon in the town pool, bombing off the little board with the kids..... walked home, barefoot , towel around my neck, shorts soaking wet...... twas'  30 years ago that I last did that...... turns out my barefeet ain;t what they were back then.... burned my soles.....

Wondering how much truth there is to the rumour that folk will not need to apply for a permit to enter Oranjemund for the Diamond festival weekend?

Not true.... turns out that there are a load of folk coming to town for the weekend of the diamond festival.... these folk's will have their name and ID's added to a list that will still get processed.... when they enter and when they leave....

Just back from spending the last hour and half with Kelvin and Shadow down on the sandbar at the beach, drove past a ton of gemsboks on the way down.... build a sandcastle with moats the size of the kitchen.... swam in the river.... the clouds, puffing overhead, the river sparkling..... no wind.... and then I sat in the water looking back up the river.... as the clouds moved over the dry dunes.... drawing their shadows along beneath them..... a flock of river birds crossing my path.... and it dawned apon me..... phew! ain't I lucky to be living here......

MmmmmH! 66 Days of no booze, Last dram was way back on the 30th of last year.... set my self a target till the 20th March and I am almost there...... gonna crack me a barrel soon.....
