Well as we reported awhile back, the bankrupt, mismanaged National Airline no longer wished to service the LuderitZ /Oranjemund route (Topic Link: http://www.oranjemundonline.com/Forum/index.php?topic=4304.0 )

And now a private company that services neighbouring Rosh Pinah has now stepped into the void..... please find attached relevant info:

Agreed, the prices are a complete ripoff..... 6 and a half grand return Oranjemund to Whk, how on earth do they justify that....

Idiots don't realise that if they lower their prices, more people would be flying, more seats would be filled and there would be more demand for their service and in return GROWTH..... bloody greedy plonkers the lot of 'em.....

I just did the sums... Return trip Omund to Windhoek, the long way round. Fuel, wear&tear (maintenance & tyres & windscreens), I can take you there and back , 9 1/2 hrs each way and still put $1834 in my pocket. Oh yes,  and you're limited to 450kg of legal luggage.
I can take 3 passengers at Westair's rates and put put a whopping $5502 in my pocket... at that rate I wouldn't have to work for Namdeb any more.

If only...
