We arrive at the final day of 2011 way too quickly. Where does time go.

Thank you all for participating during 2011 in the Midi Music Quiz. It has been fun and challenging. During 2012 I will broaden the musical genre to get some 'modern' music aired. We need the younge generation's input.

Afterall it was only yesterday that we 'wrinklies' were at the stage where we ridiculed Glenn Millar's big band sound while we perched on top of the Rec Club roof with noses pressed up against the fanlight windowpanes in awestruck shock at seeing our parents apparently "grooving out" below at the Diamond Ball while jiving, foxtrotting, writhing to the samba and conforming to the rigidity required by Strauss's waltz muziek!.

So without further ado, here is the final track for 2011. What is the title of the track and who sings it?

See you all tomorrow in 2012 for more Midi Music Quiz time! Happy New Year!

It is 1pm UK time and the time has come to reveal who the singer is and the title of the tune.

The singer is: Will Smith.

The song title is the soundtrack and hit single to the movie of the same name "Wild Wild West"

Didn't think so.........I know this number, quite a "nasally or high pitched voice" but I've got the tune running around in my head!!

Shall I put you guys out of yur misery and reveal the answers to #69 ?
ROBERT BRUCE

Ricky Barron (RIP)

I really do know this one, and it's driving me mad! How about a clue?

Robert Bruce

Oh dear, Ricky is feeling the heat on this challenge. Sorry but clues will only come canned with the Midi Quiz challenges from February. And even then, you'll have to make a very, very compelling request for one.

Until then you are on your own!

Bon chance mon ami...!

As hard as it may seem, I have been thinking.

I am wondering if providing you with clues is the right thing to do. By providing clues I could easily lead you up the garden path and going up into the country just to keep the difficulty level status intact. This in itself is not the right thing to do but the temptation is compellingly strong.

However, being devoid of all things self-centred (do fairies really exist?!), I can't do this. And to safeguard against any inherent weakness, I think it best that a do not provide clues. This type of 'game' is here to provide a test of your abilities that stretches you to recall the singer and the tune. For example, I do not use the Beatles songs. They are way too easy to recognise even as individuals.

I know you have the ability, skill and melodic memories to arrive at the correct answers. However if you have a different opinion and would prefer me to help by way of clues, then please let me know.

Meanwhile - keep trying to guess who #69 is and what the name of the song is.
