Oranjemund Strike ~ Trouble Brewing!

Well it';s almost payday and I have heard from a number of sources on the shop floor that there is gonna be trouble, when the striking employees open their payslip 2morrow night and find out that they are missing a chunk of their salaries...... these guys do not seem to understand the concept of no work no pay...... the union leaders told them that they would get pay...... there are dark clouds on the horizon, I hope somebody has the sense to call that riot squad back to town.....

'Anyone else out there hear anything?

For some the chunk is going to be their whole pay, they might even lose a chunk next month.
Pension, medical, security and their mess fees still need to be paid.
The company explained it all nicely in a brief yesterday...

Strange thing got no overtime and standby paid this month maybe the company is running low on cash or the guys and girls at payroll where to busy short paying the strikers and forgot about our overtime and standby payment to the working force.

Stennie did you receive your standby allowance?

Got mine.... maybe your Foreman forgot to hand in your time-sheets.....

Could be that they have stopped paying appearance money.... No work No pay....
