Fun Run 2011

Well, it's that time of the year again and the annual OPS Fun run from the Tank Park to the Cricket Field was once again well supported by both sponsors and athletes alike....

What turned out to be a pleasant evening was at first a bit cool with a strong south westerly prevailing......

Anyhow, in no particular order, a few snaps.....

That Jackal was there last year also......

Here's the funny part..... there was also a white, Retriever type dog that was wandering amongst the kids on the stand..... looking for food and playing with the the youngsters.... Kelvin spotted the Jackals and went tearing off after it, I was in tow..... wobbling at my best pace to stay behind the youngster...... the Jackals never moved, even as Kelvin was fast approaching, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a white blur shoot pass Kelvin and myself, it was the white dog from the stands.... he got to the Jackal , and without attacking it, darted around it, chasing the creature back across the road towards the Hockey field, the dog then promptly returned to the stands, with a huge applause coming from a group of the kids who had spotted his escapade .....
