This is a general board so, In the 80's on TV there was always this chalk man , that always walked along a line on thechalkboard, the SABC put it on between programs, he always said "La-La!" and the program always finished with the letters FIN.

What was the name of this show?

???

Don't know, but he was quite a caracter!  His laugh was so infectious and those faces he pulled.  And then at times he could carry on like a fishwife, moan about the line being to short or long, cry that the tears would splat all over the place.

Petition to the SABC -  Bring back the Chalkman - we miss him dearly (now that Mike has remembered about him again)
Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier. Friendship is a sheltering tree.

To be clever enough to get a great deal of money, one must be stupid enough to want it.

I want to try download it from some of the filesharing sites, but need a name to work with......he was always spitting when he waved his fist in the air...   :D

There is another show, Dinner for One, which was screened for the first time during December 1987.  This was hilarious, the guy having dinner with Miss Sophie, getting drunker by the minute. If you can get this show from someone, boy o boy, you will have the tears running down everyone's face watching it with you.  The show is in black and white.

There was also another show called "Rooi en Blou". It was two balls of clay, red and blue, with which different shapes were made.  Remember that one?
