First problem entitled LEGS:

- There is a bus with 7 Girls
- Each girl carries 7 bags
- Inside each bag there is 7 cats
- Every cat has 7 kittens
- All cats have 4 legs each

Question: How many legs are in the bus?

No legs are in the bus as it doesn't say the girls are in the bus. It only says there is a bus with 7 girls

when i first worked it out i had 238 legs, but cannot be certain i think there is a catch

The question could have several answers.

The straight one is: -

7 girls = 14 legs
343 cats = 1372 legs
2401 Kits = 9604 legs

Total = 10990 legs

But: -

1. Were the bags with the girls in the bus?

2. If so and the 7 cats were in the bags were the kittens also in the bags or were they left at home?

3. What about the bus driver and conductor? Do their legs count?

4. All the cats have 4 legs but there is no guarantee that the kittens all have 4 legs or the girls have 2 legs.

5. The bus seats also have legs. Do they count?

6. What about the traffic cop standing with one foot inside the bus writing out a speeding ticket?

7. Was this a Jo'burg mini bus with so many passengers?
