WATER SUPPLY TO ORANJEMUND TOWN AND TOWNLANDS

We are experiencing water supply problems to the abovementioned area.  The inflow into the systems is less than the outflow causing reservoir levels to drop during the day.  If this is not managed it will result in reservoirs running empty.  To mitigate this the town booster pumps are stopped during the hours of 23h00 and 03h00 to enable the water level in the town reservoir to increase sufficiently for daytime consumption.  Should this not be done and the reservoir levels run too low, the risk of running out of water due to power or equipment failures will result in town having no water.

A plan is in place to ensure a permanent solution for the future and will take some time to implement.  Please use water wisely - especially in your gardens.

Mnr.

That said.......where is the water going to come from???
Rain, God....Spar? If this is the beginning, I don't want to be here to see the end..

Thank you Mike V... I've been trying to tell how many people that the current water consuming inhabitants of Oranjemund can possibly exceed the population of the 80's and early 90's...
You and I both know what the infrastructure was like back then and how it ran. Then again back then Joe Soap and Piet Pompies and Festus Rustus all did their loyal share of reporting irregularities with the infrastructure. How many "springs' have I noticed in the town that sprout grass and almost reeds too before being brought to the attention of the relevant repairmen.

I now have the call centre number on speed dial... to report the springs...

@Mike A. Dude, you don't want to know what a bitch it is trying to catch a shower after a call out in the middle of the night and their aint any water pressure.

There are numerous self help solutions out there but at a price that nobody wants to pay for on property that isn't theirs.
All things electrical contain smoke. Making it come out is easy; getting it back in? ... yeah right!!!
