I only remember Cora with here "Cafe'". i think it was the only "private" company in om at that time. Her bananabread was a legend. HHMMMMM
Home industries? I don't think this has anything to do with Cora.
By the way? was she dutch?

Dear Patricia.
Please excuse my father. I'm sure he translated the term "funny" out of german. This would actually mean (at least in this case) "the crazy German naboir"
lol ; ))

I remember that shop - Used to go in after the pool on a saturday with what was left of our pocket money.  If you were really lucky your birthday cake would be ordered out of there.  Does anyone remember Rose Bell, married to Les Bell,,-- she made the best cakes in the whole world.....

Charmain Meier (Heusdens)

Dont forget Ina van der Merwe and Ree Wiese (Kobus Wiese's mom), Boy oh boy, the goodies they made were delicious.  Ree Wiese had 2 stoves at home in which she prepared the goodies.

I also heard today that the now (once again defunct) Home industry premises has been put out for tender and the number one person who is applying for the premises is planning to open Oranjemund's first Wine Shop!

:buffo1:

Now we will have four different places that one will be able to purchase our wines....the ever small pie!

beautiful A good memory that I had forgotten. I'm still a sucker for tuisnywerhede.

Diana Rudd (Boehme)

The very first "tuisnywerhede" shop was next to the Permanent building Society, then at the old library.
