A  memory  for  auntie  Noreen ,, I  remember  years ago  I  was  not even  at  school  yet ..  the  school   had  a staff  car ,  a huge  black  American  creation  .. Mrs Coffin used  to  drive  it around .. I  remember  her giving  my  Mom  and  me a  lift  in  it  quite  a few times   ..  it  was  typical  of  the  yanktanks of  those  days  all size   and  flash   with the huge  engine  but  poorly  built   and it  used  to creak   and make  all  kinds  of  strage noises  as  it  thundered  along  ..  my overactive imagination  linked  the  name  Coffin  to  the  black  car  and  I  wondered  why  she was  driving  a  hearse ??
To see  sometimes  requires that you  first believe .

Well Sandy, that reminds me of a story Mrs. Coffin used to tell back in std. 3. (1974) When traveling with her family as a kid, they would all have to get out of the car as soon as a steep hill aproached. Probably only had about 50ccm and 1 cylinders and 5hp or so. hihi.
But that was often not enough, because the kids and mother would even have to push the car. After walking on top of the hill everybody got back in the car and off the journey went. :emot186:
