Our Tree Is gold with white lights,

Dinner will be prawn cocktail, 

turkey, beef and pork, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, sprouts,ect ect, and yorkshire puddings

pudding will be sherry trifle with lots of sherry, and cheese board..................and best part of all.I WONT BE COOKING IT.

I'm having a cold buffet...

Salmon, Cream cheese & Capers
Glazed Gamon, Turkey, Corned Beef, Tongue, Cous Cous Salad, Greek Salad, Potato Salad, Gherkins, Asparagus, Beetroot with all the trimings.
Trifle, Christmas Pud, Fresh Strawbs dipped in chocolate.
Cheese Board
Loads of wine
For 20 people...wish me luck!!
Reckon I'll be doing a bit of  quickdop on Monday while cooking.

My good wife has been in SA for the past two weeks at a wedding  :looser1: I ask you!!   She is returning tomorrow beautiful

Nevertheless, I am responsible for cooking Christmas Eve dinner . . . Roast beef, roast chicken and roast lamb . . . together with roast young potatoes, zuckinni (sp?), mushrooms, cauliflower, and some devine gravy . . . just to wake up Wendy from her African daze and to welcome her back to the land of Polar Bears (and poles!!), or should it be Poler Bear Keiths?  winter

Have to go over to Vancouver to fetch her from the airport . . .  last time I got lost  e180

Seeing that most xmas trees on the market this year are rather thin, we'll be cutting our tree down a couple of cm. That's why we'll be using a golden tip for the first time. According to our tradition, the tree will only be put up on xmas eve and stay till "3 holy kings" (public holiday in Germany). I'll post a pic this week.
But as I've seen on the board, tradition is something that goes throughout the christian world.
We'll be having duck with gravy, potato dumplings and redkraut. That's probably the most comen tradition along with goose. We usualy have Glühwein with "Weihnachtsplätzchen" instead of desert. No starters.

That's pretty Georg, we have a supermarket here in UK, Lidl which I believe is a German based company.  I bought some decorations like yours there.
The tiny red wooden ones and the grass and silver thread star ones - hope everyone was satisfied with there gifts.
