Clive, it was Anne that married Andre and they're living in Durbanville area.  I remembered over the weekend that Carolyn married Pierre le Riche - don't know if they still together.

Hi Nicky,  yes, I married a local.  Garry du Toit.  Don't know if you remember him as I only met him after school.  He was part of the boertjies that we fought against in 1st avenue trees.

Mike, as for you...  wait!!!

Nicky Hodge

Hey Sheena, his name sounds familiar, but no, I cannot put a face to him. Please don't hurt Mike too much when you eventually corner him ...... we all need him. LoL.

Do any of you remember .... those horrible blue knickers that we had to wear and every morning one of the teachers would check that we had them on..... gross
and then those horrible blue hats (girls) and caps (boys) Say no more  :-\ :-\

The school hats!!!, I'd forgotten about them Susan... that reminded me of "Fleckie" the little mongral that used to wonder around the school, the highlight of the day was teasing him with your cap, he'd bite on to it and never let go (I think your brother, Billy, specialised in this!!!)

Susan Kintscher (Lineker)

Paul, i think my brother or should i say brothers specialised in a lot of things, like spending the most time at the office, etc.
Always said that i would never return to the school but funny thing is that i've been working here (Library) for the past three years.  Nothing has changed much... still old boring rules.............

Aaaah Susan, now you're in the perfect position to undo the wrongs of the past (Mrs. Davies, the old librarian) through out the Dewy system, (and while you're at it the Huey and Louis system too) and impliment an actual alphabet system of finding books...

:)

Susan Kintscher (Lineker)

At least we are not as strict as Mrs Davies, our library is veryyyyyyy noisy at times.  Just replaced the carpet which has been in here for the past hundred years.
And there are still books from our time, shocking............

I know what you mean, I had a trip down memory lane last year when my girl was at opps, at a parent day she showed me one of her favourite books and I'll be damned if it wasn't my favourite book when I was at nursary school here... the same copy too.... all about a catapillar who ate and ate and ate and eventually turned into a butterfly... *sniff*

Claire Mc Cullagh

I remember the day they took all the Horror books out of the library - because it was inapropriat reading material.  And they took the Noddy books away.

Nicky Hodge

Hi Clair,

I was just wondering if you sent  the info from my email on to your Dad? Have you managed to scan those old photos yet? I'm looking forward too seeing them. Thanks!

Claire Mc Cullagh

Hi Nicky
I printed out your letter - he laughed.
I promise I will get photos off him tonight.

Delia I remember a lot of this,
especially having to drink the milk when it was warm after been stored next to the drain in the sun, the drain was probably the most flourinated drain in the whole world.
I also remember your mom asking me to talk you into staying at school and finishing matric, I cannot remember if you did or not.

Hey Barbara, wow - i've often thought about you over the years - remembering all our hostel days - yes, i did finish matric (jeez, do i remember that whole sage, wanted to drop out in std 9 and do correspondence), thank goodness i had the sense to stay.  even in the rebellious days of mine, somewhere a little sense crept in and made me realise the stupidity of the whole idea.
