clive lived very near me....but i dont remember in which direction.......Does anyone remeber a girl who was called something that sounded like....errkie....they used to tell me it meant   small pea......she lived next door to me and did have sisters ....but i donr remeber the real names......

In all  probabilty  from  the the  Dames family .. one of  my  defining  moments .. will post that story sometime under the english afrikaner gangs and fights .. indeed a  defining  moment where I stared to  learn  to  stay away from the  thick of looking at  whowe  were  and  what  language we spoke .. not  easy ..

Mrs Castle was a not all bad - I seem to remember that she did not like it if you either failed in something did something wrong in her class that she would "go off the deep end" and rap you across the knuckles with her ruler - more than one if she was very cross (saw many a ruler broken during this procedure) - the good side of her behaviour was that she had a high pass rate - too scared to fail - so I think that maybe she had very high standards and expected all under her control to meet her expectations - after hours she was a very likeable person and I had very few problems with her - I used to visit their house a lot (Peter C and myself were good friends in those days). Teel give Richard my regards.

Hi Angus,  I will definitely give Richard your regards.  I was speaking to my Mum and Dad last week and they both remember you and Sandy very well.  It brought back lots of memories for my Dad just mentioning about Oranjemund and it got him telling me lots of stories I hadn't heard before.  Took me back to sitting in our lounge, my Dad in his big leather chair telling us stories as he sliced off bits of biltong and fed it to each of us kids while we listened enthralled at his feet.  Those were the good old days before TV!!  My children can't get their heads around the fact that I grew up with no TV!.

Great pic Barb. I think Dion Hodge. Not sure. I think he left one or two years later.
Do you have any of std. 3? I'd probably be on it. I think it was the only year we spent together in one class. But maybe we only had sport, art, music and whatever with each other...
I know most of the guys on he pic. Pity and Andy don't live anymore. They were far to young.

You know in retrospect, that blerrie milk never worked, I am currently minus 4 teeth in my mouth..... Wonder if I can sue some cows, what do you think Paula, Diana or Sheena, what the rule on suing a cow?

In all honesty, we were a poor family, my folks never bought us the stuff...all their hard earned currency went on Whisky, VOdka and beer.....

I think I lost my teeth to all the braaimeat I chow..... mmmh! Steak, what can';t it do!
