When my teacher was Mrs Castle I had the pleasure of sharing the desk/table with her son, Philip.  That could be a bit scarey!  Poor lad, she had even higher standards for him
Mrs Castle passed away late 90's , She and husband Cassie retired and lived in Melkbos strand . near to Coeberg poiwer station  .They wer our neighbours in O'mund. . they stayed at 18 , 15th ave
her son was killed on the Angolan border approx 1980 . I am not shure , its a long time ago .

I remember the one good thing about "skollie Patrolie"was that you caught a seperate bus to everyone else and even though your bus left after the big busses, you always got home first.

And... you got to leave the class 10 minutes before the rest.....

I remember Mrs Castle- she terrified me. I think most kids in her class felt the same way

I remember the name Castle, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right person. What did she teach?

Yes  it was  a  Messerschmidt ..  there  were  two   of them  tootling  around  the town ..  the  other  unusual one was the  BMW Isetta  that the De Pintos  had .. the  door  opened    from  the front of the  car and then  everyone clambered  in  it could seat  3  at  a push ...
To see  sometimes  requires that you  first believe .

My first day in Sub A. This photo was taken in front of E5/11. Note the big plastic house badge we wore before the small metal ones.
