Hey, all you lots  -  thanks for the birthday wishes. 

(Our power is currently on  -  for how long I don't know, but I got to make use of the oppertunity!)

I'm leaving my office right now  -  going out with a few friends for the "starters", then later tonight we will have the jol.  So glad I do not work for a boss, 'cos tomorrow I might just not feel so fresh  -  (will let you know about the outcome)

Thanks again.  Only dared to surface around 10am and I'm still feeling a little brittle -  ooohhhh  -  who ever decided it was legal that friends could try to drown you with when it's your birthday?

Barb =  thanks for the water hint  -  a real purifier.

Got nice prezzies - stuff that I need and can use.  Between us lot friends, we have decided to make a small list of small things that we need and can use, and when it's your birthday you pin your list on the notice board.  Everyone selects something off the list, ticks it off and then the next person knows that that item has been chosen.  This is much easier to buy something for the one who has the birtday and then you also know that person can use the item really good.  Works very nice and we have been doing it for 5 years now.  Nothing stops you to buy something else for the birthday person also, but the list making sort of takes the "what the hell should I buy" anguish away.
