Just heard of the passing of yet another ex Oranjemunder, Keith Brooke passed away at Panorama hospital in the Cape. Keith worked for many years in the telephone dept at Oranjemund
. He was active with the squash club
Hockey club and the freemasons.

I recall the Brooks family so well ,  they were neighbours a few houses up the road from us in 2nd ave ..They moved into the house the Schmidts stayed in ,, so one family moved out and we as kids would greet the newcomers and find new playmates  ...  As said Keith was an active  mason and a friend of my Dad ... Condolences to the Brooks family  ,, seems our world of people we know  is shrinking with time ,,,

Memorial Service – Keith Brooke

All friends are invited to attend the service at Durbanville Memorial Park (DMP), Cnr Darwin & Klipheuwel Rods, Durbanville (GPS coordinates S 33.7913 E 18.69916 / S33 47' 35.3" E18 41' 57.0") on Friday, 5 October 2012, at 13:00.  Allow 15 minutes for roadwork delays.

Anyone who wishes to say a few words during the service is most welcome to do so.

Tea and refreshments will be served at DMP followed by drinks at the Brooke residence.
