Just got these pics from Bertie Horak, who was there in the 60's and 70's ....... hope he registers here soon...
I do remember the name Horak. Very nice pics, notice all the effort put into decorating the stands. Memories
Wow excellent photos
Those photos brought back memories of making the rosettes for each sports day. I can clearly remember threading cotton through the crepe paper and then pulling it to make the round rosette. I was in Barnato. I can still remember most of the words to the Barnato song after all these years!
The Horaks lived at E10/11 is I'm not mistaken.
@Melanie. yougogirl. Finally another Barnato member to back me up on the forum. To all you Rhodes and Oppenheimers out there... :culo1: :emot172:
@Michael. There is a Berti Horak here in Secunda. Last I heard he was involved in the Military. Is it possibly the same guy??
Yes, we Horak's stayed in E10/11. I spent my first 12 years or so in that house! Great memories. Diana, where did you stay? I have a funny feeling it was just a house or two away. And Carl, Barnato definitely the best - I'm a green Barnatoin too!!!!!
The Berti Horak in Secunda probably related in the distant past, but not that I'm aware of. Great hearing from other Oranjemunders.
welcome to the gang bertie.
Hi Bertie, welcome to the forum. At this rate us greens are going to overrun the place. Just a few months ago we were totally in the minority.
You're still the minority ... ther are only 3 of you ... RED RULES ...
This man is a GREEN man.. GREEN, I tell you..... GREEN GREEN GREEN as the Grass!
another greenie here - come on, where all the others, come out come out wherever you are.........gotta stand together..........we can have an inter-house right here on the forum........

Mike - just remember you are surrounded by reddies at home!
:tifo1:
:emot182: - even your beer guzzler's hat is red!
@ Bertie. Yes we lived at E5/11 from 1960-1967 then to E15/11. I don't recall where you fitted age wise but I do remember your family. I was good friends of Yvonne De Lange who lived opposite you at E9.
Blue, Blue Oppenheimer we can sing: lalalalalalal
My girls were in BARNATO does that count? It should as I had to make those damn Rosettes etc !!

How do you make the colour print stay. I change it but then what?
When we were young our captain said, Rhodes I have something to say, and what she said we'll never forget, until our dying day, she said Rhodes you are a winning team and that's the way you'll stay, happy to be in the winning team until your dying day!!!!!!!
Diana - you've got to type your sentence/word then highlight it, go to the change colour box's drop down arrow, chose your colour and click on it - voila!
TESTING: AM I THE ONLY OPPENHEIMER ON THIS SITE>
AH HA NOW I CAN MAKE EVERTHING BLUE
Lets not get overexcited here, you're still the only bluey around!
I think I'm liking this [/color]colour thingy.
O P P E N H E I M E R
Looks like us GREENS rule the roost!! I remember the Horak's well - Bertie and my dad (Bill Alcock) were both wild bird breeders as I recall.
Green rules!
Give me an R
Give me an E

What do you get RED
Come on all you rhodes people don't let the side down tonight!

Something else we have in common Michele e154
Yay - I knew I wasn't alone in here tonight!
We are red; we are bright - we are f*cking dynamite lalalalala................okay so we didn't sing that one - but it's definitely good enough............
Hey Rhona, did you also have Mrs Wilson playing the piano for all the songs? Her daughter Sharon (now Holland) is still teaching at the school and is still in Rhodes!
O>P<P<E>N>H>E>I>M>E>R I wish I could remember one song.
I'll also make up one then; We Blue,we true
We'll beat you through and through
There's red
They dead and so it's been said
and Green it's seen
they wipe our bums clean.
I'm impressed - you really are getting artistic in here - still don't see no support though!
:looser1:
:emot19: Ah Diana - you are brilliant...........I love your song.
Michelle - I don't remember who played the piano for us - but I do remember practising in the school hall and stamping our feet and shouting loudly - then going home and making crepe paper rosettes and dressing all in red for the big event.............what fun
Barnato always practiced in the Small Hall and Rhodes , because Zandy was RHodes got to practice in the Big Hall.... and I think nobody really cared where Oppenheimer practiced... :emot172:
I know, there has to be some Oppenheimers out there. Remember the Little hall, near the Sub A classes, I remember practicing singing there. Go POOP Michael WE the bestest singers and we had Terry Early the Bestest athlete of all time.
Cherry,
Yes I remember your dad as well. I'm Bertus' (the bird breeder) son. My dad is now 75 and retired in Malmesbury. Still breeding birds and hairless dogs!!!
GO BARNATO!!! yes, that small hall was always packed with us greenies, but we managed to kick *ss - were much better than Rhodes in the main hall!!
Well Hello Dolly, Oppenheimer all the way - we were the best singers and won the cup for cheerleading every year so there - we sang proper like - Mrs OBrien made sure of that....we didn't need the big hall or the small hall, we had team spirit.
Support I, have Support you tell them Barb. Cross Country we won that every time as well. Swimming was also out forte.
@ Bertus; my brother Bill also lives near Malmesbury and has just built an aviary to start keeping/breeding birds. If I remember correctly, your folks also had two bull terriers.
Hi Diana, I even won two certificates for Oppenheimer
How did the blue guys win the swimming when the reds were the best............and as for ye wannabe leprechauns... :36_2_24:
I won one for boobs stroke. Sorry Rhona we Blue here, red was poofy
numberone numberone numberone I have nothing else to say!!!
Yup, dad had two bullterriers, you're right.
Barbara, you were a good swimmer if I remeber correctly.
Oppenheimer just happened to have good swimmers like Brigitte van Avezaath who took all the medals.
Doesn't matter anyway, Barnato was simply the best, ok!
e154
Blue, Blue Woopee do
Ah that's not fair - 'blue' rhymes with more than red
Good night all!
This site and all you fellow dune bugs are keeping me away from my work!
I remember this one very well from Barnato:

AND
Ons drink 'n coke 'n coke 'n coke
net vir 'n joke 'n joke 'n joke,

Where on earth are you Bertie....working at this time of nite?
Looks like Bertie is on nightshift for the bot squad... shooter
Just started working! Start getting things ready here every morning at 5 am. Do banking and e-mail replies at 6 in morning. Busy, busy!
I think your brother Andreas must be my age - correct?
I believe so Bertie, he turned 42 this year. I have trouble remembering everybody's ages in my family. My son went for an operation last month and I gave his age as 13 when in fact he is only turning 12 this year. They nearly gave him an adult dose of anaesthetic. Luckily one of the nurses spotted the mistake. Boy was I in the sh*t with the wife for that one... :nono1:
Yes, I'm sure you would be in trouble for forgetting ages. Just don't make the mistake of telling your wife she's older than her real age - then you'll really be sleeping in the dogbox!
Regarding the anaesthetic, that's exactly the reason why the anaesthesiologists I use and me calculate the dose according to weight, not age. Much safer! Operating again on Saturday morning, but will be back in time to watch the Super14 rugby semi-finals.
We got spirit, yes We Do, We got Spirit ... How About you?
goodmorning You seem very cheerfull this morning Michael. Was it something in the breakfast cereal? Too much spirits perhaps?...hee...hee
Me thinks he had "Omlettes"
You're just jealous coz I had breakfast in bed..... :emot19:
I think I will hold my thought.
Bet you have a picture of Mike sitting up in bed with the sheet up to his chin and a tray balanced on his knee....
Yeeeeeeessss Rhona. :sorriso2:

OOOPS sorry ladies....late again but here to support the reds.............UP THE REEEEEDDDDS.

Aaah, we have a doctor in the house. beautiful Couldn't agree more with you on the anaesthetic issue. It makes more sense to me as a layman to go according to weight and not age. Not all kids weigh the same at given ages and this could lead to problems.
Bertie, do you perhaps know why pharmaceutical companies recommend their dosages by age and not weight on their packaging? I've asked my pharmacist this question, and his answer was that it has to do with legal issues. ????? idontknow
Sorry Carl, took long to reply, had hectic day.
Regarding the pharmaceutical age thing - yes, there might be some legal issues, but it's also to do with human development. For instance, at a young age your liver and kidneys might not be developed enough to handle the metabolism and elimination of certain classes of drugs from the body. Other meds might also hamper normal development, so doses for these would be small for kids who are still growing, relative to those for adults simply to prevent problems in say, the nervous system development. All depends on the kind of drugs and their side-effects.
That's something you mustn't get me started on - prescription drugs! I have been a dentist for the last 15 years, but also just got my B.Comp.Med degree in complementary medicine. I'm opening my herbal medicine practice later this year. So - pharmacies and drug companies are not my biggest braai-maatjies!!! spinningweed Herbs - that's the way to go!
Alternative therapy??? Bertie would you recomend patients to stop taking their prescription medication for the alternative type?
No, not wise to stop immediately in most cases, for instance high blood pressure. Better to wean off slowly. Of course it depends on what you are taking the meds for, so in somecases we can stop and replace with herbs immediately.
Our treatment is holistic - treat the patient, NOT the symptom! Unfortunately many medical practitioners send you home with an aspirin if you are suffering from headaches, without looking for the cause of the headache. Well, good for them, the aspirin causes a stomache ulcer, and whoopee, they have something else to give meds for! See why I can get a little edgy about allopathic medication?
I'm lucky here in Kuilsriver in that the three closest GP's to me are all for alternatives if patients ask for it or if they dont have success using their normal pharmaceuticals.
Just to get some clarity- I'm not a homeopath, we work completely different, and also only use plants and plant products. Most of the treatments are in the form of teas, tinctures and creams, etc. all made and supplied by ourselves. I'm registered with the Allied Health Professions Council as a "Phytotherapist", or "Herbalist".
hi bertie, i had major heart surgery 2yrs ago and on meds aspirin, prexum, glucophage, simvastatin for life expensive stuff anything i could take inplace of that as i detest taking tablets [chemicals?] . struggle to swallow the smallest tablet.
@ Bertie In your own personal opinion - would you be a believer that diet plays a huge part in our symptoms? And on the subject of weaning patients off their medication slowly - while increasing the teas, tinctures etc.....some of these herbal cures actually react with prescription meds.......also if a patient stays on their perscription and also takes alternative - they could be playing dangerously, whereby causing more damage to themselves - what's your opinion on this?
Hi Chris. My replies a bit slow, think my wireless limit has been reached and I'm back on dial-up for now!
The meds you're taking are quite standard, but unfortunately almost all have bad side-effcts. There definitely are some herbs that would help. The problem is taking them in the right doses and prepared correctly. In most cases the doses of the natural stuff you can buy over the counter are very weak, and you don't get the desired effect. In your case as well, you would have to be monitored very carefully in the beginning, not to cause drop or rise in blood pressure for instance (be careful of self-medication!). Most of our prep's are much stronger, and we also have to import most of the herbs. Herbs used often for cardiac and related problems include the following:
Crataegus (Hawthorn), Convallaria (Lily of the valley), Rosmarinus (Rosemary), Alchemilla (Lady's mantle), Allium (yes, trusted old garlic), Zingiber (Ginger - fresh root), Zanthoxylum (Prickly ash), Capsicum (Chilli pepper), Achillea (Yarrow), Tilia (Lime flower), Aesculus (Horse-chestnut), Ginkgo, Vitis (grape seed), Ruta (Rue), etc.
Of course, lifestyle and diet will have to be controlled as well!! Have to say g'nite - in theatre early morning!
@ Rhona. Yes, you're 100% correct in both cases. Diet very NB! We do give advise on that aspect as well, after all, it's often part of the problem. We are what we eat!!! I need more space and time to chat! And about interactions - we can not give certain herbs to certain people or patients on certain meds. That's big part of our training - to know about 192 different herbs - their actions, properties, how they work, constituents, safety, what part to use, when to harvest, etc. Therefore once again, don't self-medicate! It could be dangerous.
Will have to continue later, really have to get some rest now! gnite
thanks for the advice bertie will speak again
Hi Bertie, thanks for clearing up that topic regarding the age / weight issue. daman
Thanks for that Bertie - as for the whole 'you are what you eat' thing - I too am a believer in that - but where a multiple of 'illnesses' are combined - as in one ailment triggers another and a domino effect occurs within the body - the diet for one could be poison for the next............Definitely agree with you that an individual should be treated as a unit and not as a symptom - but how do you treat a unit if it is so clogged up with synthetic chemicals, surely this would be an artificial starting point? Also should the starting point of the 'diet' be complete fasting - whereby the system is starved on all pollutants - and only fed on organic food stuff, as close to raw as possible and it's most natural state?
Sorry if I sound like I'm ganging up on you - I have a personal interest in what advise you have to give.
Rhona I can gather through your comments that you have done your research and show real interest. Well done! Once again you're so right in your argument about the domino effect. Very often when there's a multitude of symptoms and affected body systems, we can start with a detox to help rid the body of all unwanted elements, poisons, parasites, etc. with herbs. It is also dangerous to stimulate a week system with strong herbs. One should then at first support, rather than stimulate. For instance, stimulate a week, damaged liver, and you will actually kill it, causing bigger problems!
I do not in believe in complete fasting. I believe that by eliminating the bad, and replacing with the good (like you said - as raw, organic and unprocessed as possible), your body will gather it's own integral strength to get rid of the toxins.
Very nice to chat to somebody who's been thinking!
PS: I have slight problems with my wireless connection, and might take a while to reply. But everybody, I will eventually come back to all posts where I've been involved. LOVE THIS SITE! CONGRATS GUYS!!!!
Bertie - I could sit here all day, bending your ear and debating backwards and forwards on the whole topic of diet and alternative treatment; I'd keep probing you and re-arranging my questions, teasing out the answers you have to offer - but unfortunately I have a huge date this weekend and so have to log off.
I truley appreciate your comments and I will most definitely be back to pick your brain some more - But before I go - what is your opinion on wiping out entire food groups from a diet ie: dairy; wheat; red meat; whites ect ect or are you of the opinion that small amounts of everything are good for you? Also when one food group is good for one ailment but not for another - should you choose the lesser of two evils or ban it completely.............Take for example greens; your average run of the mill Brocolli or Cabbage - now we all now these veg's are good for us, they are high in calcium and iron as well as a whole range of other nutrients - BUT they are also counter productive to a person with an underactive thyroid - and so if a patient suffered from both low iron count and an underactive thyroid; would greens be on or off the list?
Thats a good point Rhona. I suffer from low iron count as well as underactive thyroid. I've been on and off Eltroxin for the last year now and try to supplement my iron levels "artificially" with iron supplements. To be honest, I dont feel any different now as before I started with the medication.
Perhaps I should try getting rid of the extra iron intake and let my system go "cold turkey", so that it can kick start itself into normal operation again.
I normally have my iron levels checked every 52 days when I donate blood, and everytime I just just make the minimum level. The first reaction of the nurse doing the test is " Take iron supplements and eat more iron rich foods". I'm confused????????
I've been taking eltoxin for the past 15yrs. Just thought I'd add that.
Will come back later tonite or tomorrow morning re Fe-deficiency and hypothyroidism. There are quite a few herbs that are safe and helpful in these cases. No time now, going to Vincent Palotti hospital to visit friend's dad who had heart attack yesterday, then a show in Theatre on the Bay, then dinner at friends. Chat later!!!
OK, cheers Bertie. Catch u later.
@ Diana. Have you tried the seaweed remedy? Apparently the zinc in seaweed is good for kickstarting a naughty thyroid. I've just completed a course of "kelp" extract from Vital. I'll let u know after my next test if it helped or not. Be warned though, those pills really stink and taste absolutely gross.
U low iron people, don't drink enough beer and eat enough steak..... damn, skinny folk... with all their health problems.... :emot19:
I had my thyroid removed,so am a bit weary to change medication. My daughter has low iron and takes Chel-a-fer,it works wonders for her,I can pick up immediately if she has not taken it.
Thanks, I'll give it a try. Can I get it without bribing the pharmacist?
Yes you can Carl.
Well I need to add that I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's decease a year ago, suffer from high blood pressure and am insulin resistant. I spent 10 days at a detox retreat in Spain last year (www.detox-international.com) 10 days of juices, suppliments, broths, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, colon cleanses. I came back feeling like a million bucks and a few Kg's lighter. Have given up smoking for a year and a bit now and generally eat a 90% organic diet and have a cup of coffee perhaps 1 a week. I have also changed my skin care range and shampoo/conditioner as well as toothpaste to 100% natural. I got rid of my microwave and we now warm up the conventional way in a stainless pot and have gotten rid of the aluminium ones. I am also very facinated and intriqued by natural medicines but generally do not discuss the topic in public. It tends to become very similar to a religious topic when discussed with NON believers.
Dr Berite for president i say.......
my daughter katie has chroans disease so any help with dietiatry tips for her....or alternative medicines to try would be a help is anyone else out there suffers with this......
also i suffer with aneamia......ive had every test going includin the thiroid test...last week actually.....but my lack of iron is from my bad diet...im sure of it......i love all the foods that conatin iron...really dark greens...even liver....but because no one else likes this stuff....i dont cook it...and because i dont eat much to start with .............my diet is terrible.... its my own fault.....and i dont realize how....shit i am feeling....untill i suddenly remeber to take a course of iron....and it works wonders.............. hoolahoop1
Hi all! First of all, nice to chat to great group of friends. Secondly, PLEASE dont see this as medical advice, rather as a discussion. I can get in big trouble - I havn't seen you as patients OR examined you and made the diagnosis.
Carl, Diana, Rhona, Dunja - It's good to carry on with your thyroid hormone replacement therapy if you're taking any- without it you can't do anything with the Zn supplements. I believe leafy greens in moderation is ok, in addition it gives you folic acid (which is important for absorbing many minerals and vitamins). I do have another form of "leafy green" that is very helpful - Urtica (stinging nettle) - a tea from the leaves contain huge amounts of minerals, especially Iron and Calcium (more than milk!). Another source of Zn is all your nuts and seeds, especially pumpkin seeds (not every day, 1-2x a week).
Dunja, Hashimoto is an auto-immune disease, and like with you, Diabetes Type I often accompanies it. Unfortunately not enough space and time to go into detail. As Phytotherapists we would therefore firstly treat you for auto-immune problems, then secondary for the thyroid, and other symptoms like dry skin, etc. Important to look after your heart and vasculature (higher risk of Atherosclerosis) with some of the herbs I mentioned in previous post. They lifestyle changes you made are great, well done!
For all of you, Brewer's yeast is good supplement with full Vit B complex and minerals, including chromium for diabetes (the vital one is ok). Michael here's one for you (now you can say: "I told you so!") - another herb used for the nervous system is hops (Humulus lupulus), but NO Mike, that doesn't mean you can just drink more beer for medicinal value!!!!
Regarding seaweed (Fucus vesicularis) - yes it has been used extensively for hypothyroidism. Just make sure you have the right stuff. Don't go chew on a piece of bamboo you pulled from the sea close to Koeberg!!!
Bev, Crohn's disease is an inflammatory condition of the bowel. Great care should be given to her diet. What is her age? Generally, we would concentrate on reducing inflammation, getting the biota (gut flora) in balance, and looking after the diet. Once again, a consultation is imperative, for we would treat different people differently for the same condition - we look at the "bigger picture", for instance, she might be a generally nervous person which would aggrevate condition. However, generally the next might be helpful. Chamomile (Matricaria) tea - good for gut flora and mild sedative, Slippery Elm bark powder (Ulmus) usually given in yoghurt, Oats (Avena), and some demulcents to soothe the gut mucosa in tincture form - Echinacea (Purple cone flower), Althea (Marshmallow plant), etc.
I think that's it for now. Mike's going to kick me off the site for writing books in the forum!!!!
Have a great Sunday, I have to go buy cat food. It HAS TO BE fancy feast tins, and it HAS TO BE the gourmet feast or the three kids (photo's in "pets forum") look at me with faces that ask: "Don't you love us anymore???"
All forms of healing and medicine have a part to play .. if only most conventional practicioners would come to this realisation ... there are the "horror" stories of both sides .. If there was more co-operation as Bertie is getting then the patients are healthier and heal their bodies quicker , and if we as patients all took heed of this enlightened co-operation of practicioners vis diet and lifestyle we would all be a healthier bunch of people barring the genetic curveballs that get thrown at some ..
My personal opinion is that it has more to do with Genetics, not trying to be unenlightened....... I think it's correct that certain foods make a person feel well , and yes, you are what you eat.... however, I have seen people die at the age of 48 due to smoking and contracting cancer...yet, I know some puffing grannies who are in there 80's doing 60 a day...and they show no side affects from it......kids of 12 years with Leukemia......overweight guys living into their 70's.... and then the fit as you are health nut at the tender age of 38, keeling over from a heart attack on the golf range......
that;s just my two cents.....
Thanks again Bertie for all the helpfull advice (oops, discussions). As you say lets keep it at discussion level. The last thing we want is to cause you any difficulties with the SAMDC.
Hey Michael, perhaps you should add a "Paypal" link to this topic. Maybe then our good doctor can afford to upgrade his internet connection...lol :emot19:
In retrospect, it's quite amazing the wide range of working environments we cover in here, artisans, engineers, Shop Keepers, leprechauns and now a dentist....
Just still need a Psychiatrist and then we pretty much covered! :36_2_35:
Now look what you made me do! I typed a page-long reply again, but when I wanted to post, you had new posts, so I looked at them, and when I got back to "reply", everything was gone! So here I go again.
Genetics definitely important. We in the natural medicine field call this your "constitution" - your genetic blueprint which governs your normal physiological processes, body systems, and disposition (genetically predetermined week-points). This will determine how you react to external stimuli you're exposed to (incl diet, stress, toxins, etc). It is however possible to support week-points and help manage them before they get too bad.
Yes, if the doctors and patients had mutual cooperation, it would've been great. Unfortunately once again money and pharmaceutical companies are big evils. Too often it works like this: You've got a headache, the doctor gives you a tablet, you go home. that's why we as Phytotherapists will book you for 60 minutes for the first consult, to have a nice chat and look at the total picture - treat the patient, not the disease!
Like Dunja said, it could be a sticky subject. When you say you're a herbalist or "kruiedokter" they think you dress like a character from the Sherwood forest or have dreadlocks and beads in your hair and throw bones and stones on the mat!
Hey Carl, don't joke, I only went wireless two weeks ago and are still figuring all this online stuff out! I'm learning quickly though.
Ok, I'm going to post this now, I'll have a heart attack if I see my previous post went through automatically as well!
Well Bertie you can imagine what my husband thought when I got back from Spain and packed the Microwave away. Thought I had been indoctrinated by some form of cult ! hehehehe But I must say he rather enjoys the home cooked meals everynight now and not just the ready made ones from Woolies....
Hey Bertie, is there a cure yet for forum addiction?
If you have any ideas - PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!
I have a lot of work to do. Just got everything ready, then, as if by some magnet, back to check if there's any replies!! Thoughts about dunking this modem in the fish pond crossed my mind! Going to put a restraint on myself. Will NOT check again before noon, will NOT check again before noon, will NOT check again before noon!!!!
Same problem here. Came to work yesterday on overtime nogal, and spent 10hrs on the forum! Today isn't going much better either. At least the overtime rate is better today...lol
Okay, okay, I know it's 7 minutes before noon, but just checking! At least got some work done. Now NO online for 2 hrs.
:emot19: I've tried that one. Doesn't work. I've got two exams comming up next week and thought I'd get some studying in this weekend on company time. No luck. The books are still exactly where I left them yesterday morning.
hi bev its val here chris macherson wife's u say your daughter has chrohns i also have it i am in remission at the moment though it does flair up now and again especially when stressed my doc put me on cortisone for it which helps a great deal.if you want to know more then send me personall mail.cheers val.

BLUE BLUE BLUE we may be low in numbers ,but quality beats quantity
Dr. Bertie! Dr. Bertie! I have a question........you mentioned in an earlier post about 'genetically predetermined week-points' - what I'm taking from this and correct me if I'm wrong but illnesses and conditions are laid out for each and every one of us previously and so does this mean we can't cure ourselves? Are we waisting our time with our restrictive diets?
Also in your first consultation with a patient, that could take up to an hour - do you physically have to see and touch that patient - or can you 'view' someone new purely on a trust basis?
Barnato all the way. Member 1966 - 1972
THANK YOU LANCE! MY FELLOW BARNATO TEAM MEMBER....... trex-073
Get out of it - ye pair of messers RHODES :tifo1: numberone :tifo1:
Oh when the REDs, oh when the REDs, oh when the REDs come marching in ...... numberone
@ Rhona - No, it doesn't mean you WILL get the condition or disease. I said pre-determined weak point. In such a case the chances of you getting the condition is slightly higher than the guy next to you with a different genetic predisposition. It is however possible to prevent getting the condition, or the progression thereof (diet, etc, etc).
Regarding the consultation - yes one can do consultation through questioning over the phone/e-mail, but it is not ideal. I'll have to accept what the patient says as the true state, and, for instance, how will I be able to do a proper liver examination to see if all the visits to the bot-bar hasn't affected one little leprechaun? Some conditions might be missed, we can pick up a lot through little things like looking at the nails, eyes, skin, posture, movement, etc.
If you want to chat more regarding this subject, please send me personal message, it's easier to type and explain longer replies that way. bighug

Therefore after a considerable amount of deliberation, the general consensus would unanimously be that Oppenheimer outclasses the rest.

Hi kids,
Another Barnato boy here (1959-1965). It wasn't really competitive in those days, the Greens cleaned up! I don't know why, but I still remember one of the athletic's songs;
to the tune of; "Get me to the church on time"
Reds and Blues you'd best go into mourning
'cause soon you'll all feel anything but fine
We run like winners, you're just beginners
we'll beat you to the post each time!
When we are jumping, victory's a must
when we are running you won't see us for dust,
Soo..
Reds and blues you'd best go into mourning
etc.
By the way how many reds, blues and GREENS are members of this forum?
Regards, Ricky Barron.

I like the way Auntie Delia is thinking.... I shall ponder this ..... we could have PEPPERMINT, APPLE SOURZ.....
You are not going to be the scorekeeper! You will participate in the Geriatric games!
Would that be the Geriatric games for the disabled?
image201
The first ever special geriatric games....... image21
Well Rhona, I don't think we'll be paricepating. Geriatric, okay! But disabled? We don't want to be taking advanage.

The disabled would be Mike as due to all the beer consuming and meat eating he would be suffering from gout!

Can't find the right topic now - you guys will never in a million years guess with whom I had a phone conversation with for about half an hour just now.............
MRS. WILLIAMS.................. JUFFIE ! Just found out that they live in Upington. Told her about the web site and the reunion - she is as happy as a cat in a mouse den! Maybe, just maybe I can convince her and uncle Bill to join us at the reunion. Also got Marlene and Norman's numbers from her.
Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day,.......... la la la la la
How old is she now? DO you think she will let me pinch HER shoulders for a change? abouttime

Is this Mrs. Coffins sister we're talking about??
Nice to see the enthusiasm for the Games - just formalities but maybe it'll settle once & for all who's the bestest house ever (BARNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATO RULES, OK!!!!!!!)
Hey mike - a case of great minds think alike (or some might say fools never differ???) but cut the Aunty crap brother - instantly ages me 20 years............when i was waitressing at the steakhouse Steve used to know how that word pushed my buttons so whenever any kids asked him for tomato sauce or something, he would tell them "Vra vir tannie Delia" stressing the TANNIE and then he'd send me over to their table with a smirk on his face - sh*t man, who wants to be called Tannie in your 20's........can't hear that word without thinking of my waitressing days, Steve & his smirk hiding behind the counter waiting for my klap which he knew was coming.
