This is a view of the west side of the 5th Avenue park, looking south towards the sub station. Where the red arrow points to is the spot that used to house the 'Ovambo' toilet...... as I stated elsewhere 85% of them have been removed....

i don't know what a sub station is. Has this pic been taken from "Outer Cresent" where you leave town for the beach?

@Georg jnr, electrical substation, where all the 3 phasze cables supply electricity to the various houses in town......I have a feeling that, that substation was built in the early 80's..... Alfie will  know... that park is diagonally opposite the first traffic circle on your way into town, just passed the policestation and the 5th avenue flats...

Then it's where I thought it is.
When I lived in om, the tow was suplied with it's own electricty. But you know yourself.
