What will you be doing on New Years Eve?

Well, My fellow (ex) Oranjemunders, what plans do you have for New Years Eve 2007? Going to bed early? Off to the Bowling Club? Party at Kenny's place? Poledancing in the Arctic?

At 15h00 , Werner  and myself will be dragging 3 barrels of draught and a draught machine , 2 camping chairs and heading off for the river mouth  for sundowners till 19h30... then heading off to this years big bash at the bowling club, where I'm sure Aunty Paula and Really Old Aunty Sheena will purchase us a Jagermeister....

We're gonna be somewhere between Mc Dougalls and Hondeklipbaai - in the Camper with the Engelsman and Weenie in tow with their bakkie and caravan and hopefully we will not get locked up, but yes....

I have already preserved the peaches in brandy
Got olives soaked in vodka (with a twist of lemon juice added)  -  the green ones with the red thingie in works best
Got a bottle of "Pa is Gebliksem" labled mampoer that was a private enterprise gift from a friend
Got the Martini and the shaker and all the other stuff

and

all the other usual dop

also

Got the Prohep, Extra Strong Disprin, Eno, Grandpa tablets, Essence of Life
with all the other stuff that goes into the First aid kit.

       

Oh, before I forget  -  I think we also have food to take with, but that's not my worry......

(this year the kids have their own thing going and they stay at home - that's now the Engelsman's kids and the Steenkampies)

The "Zweite Frühling" is something loving couples experience when the kids have left home and you can... Well, you know what I mean. "Love is in the air".
Actualy, it is the experience older people make when widowed or divorced.

I've just cancelled the draught party at the beach on Monday afternoon, form 2 reasons.... #1 being that the weather report says that the wind will be pumping at between 35-55 knots.... which means sand everywhere and #2 I heard that the new traffic cop is really doing a good job and likes setting up road blocks and actullay detained 4 partygoers on Christmas eve at a roadblock on the beach road, for driving under the influence... those guys are still in jail, as the magistrate will only be back on the 4th of jan to set bail....
