oh no,  please make it stop
knit one pearle one knit 2 , pearle two.  Do you remember the dreaded bed socks we had to make . and the shoe boxes for your knitting that we had to cover or decorate.  Then trying to fit them all into to damn cupboards.

The memories of needlework class are coming back now! I was lucky in that my mom could help with all of my knitting projects!

I remember not doing any knitting over the weekend for my homework - instead I threw the wool away and told the teacher I ran out or wool,  but she didn't beleive me.  so I had to do double for the next day. Does anyone remember the peg holders we had to make?

Michele Alexander (Voden)

Yes, I do - with the cross stitch patterns on them! Can also remember having to knit a toilet roll cover and a teddy bear - mine was grey and purple with green at the back!
The school still has an exhibition every year where they display the kids handiwork - these days they do much nicer things like fabric painting!

I loved going to the school display - always a competition to see who had the most stuff on display.  Remember the baby pig in a jar - it was always put on the stage with all the science stuff, snake skins and crystals...... and so much more.

I remember the knitting and having to decorate the boxes, what a waste of paper I thought, and because I am left handed I was taught to knit right handed. Im sure that teacher, can't remember her name, she had a short brown hair cut, a bob style.I was chuffed with one proect I had to do, it was a cardigan for a baby and I did a smashing job and oh yes the toilet holder.......do you remember.
I have the best and most difficult job in the world, I am a mum!!!
