Therapy against addiction.

Seeing that I've been working in a psychiatry for the past 17 years, I can only see things from a psychological point of veiw. I know it's hard to believe after all the bitch slapping.
I must admit: I'm addicted.
Does anybody know this experiance?
Does anybody know help?
Where does this here lead to?

Here's a story, about a man trying auto-therapy. (therapy only means healing) It has nothing to with cars, by the way.
A young couple got married. At last they could live together and really get to know each other. You know the way it was in the old days.
So off they went on their honeymoon.
It was their first night together. Ever! excitement... blabla. You know! This one thing was so important, the wife wasn't prepared for making breakfast. Sunday. Shops are closed. In the cupboard she finds a fresh packet of cornflakes. Hubby comes into the kitchen, hungry like a bear (after the excitement). He smells coffee, hmmmmm, sees the cornflakes... Eaugh! ... he thinks. Tries to be polite and smiling he eats all.
Wife is satified. "I've done everything right."
From that day on, wife serves husband cornflakes for breackfast. Morn after morn.
As it is in every couples life, things become routine and wife and husband don't invest the effort they did before. Then one day, husband gets up, takes his bowl of cornflakes, throws it against the wall and shouts: "Eat your +%$`#+  cornflakes yourself!"
Now they are devorced. But husband had heald himself. No more tummy-ache!
