Got something you find very beautifull and want to share it with the rest of us?

I got a few of them, so here goes.....

1.  If ever I saw a true black stallion -  this is it.  Amazing  -  the neckline, the headstructure, the ears.......  got if from a website about horses.

2.  Just something about this picture make me want to look at it again and again

3.  Spectacular!!!  Look at the fury in those animals.  Most expressive .....  no words for the story this picture tells

Barb, are the ponies running wild or do they belong to someone?  Would be great if you could post pics of that.

Diana  - that picture for sure must be very prescious to you.  There is so much soul in the picture  -  your granddaughter at the beginning of the exploration road of her life and Stephens father who has traveled on his life road way along, but at the same time and moment the two of them can still interact and find something in each other

Dalene
the people who who own land in the forest have "commoner rights", one of which means they can put their ponies and pigs out to graze. Pigs love acorns, and acorns are poisonous and toxic to deer, so this is good for everyone.
there is a big herd of feral ponies, that they (land owners) can stable and feed, and every so often organised roundups occur and the ponies are auctioned off in an effort to control the population.  I believe most ponies end up in french retuarants  idontknow
The forest is a protected and is managed by the forest commission, who have the herds of deer to consider.

until I get out and about to include my own pictures, this site will give you a glimpse of the life in the forest through the months of the year.

It is ancient land belonging to the crown, and full of history, roman roads and is simply beautiful. For walking, cycling, pony rides, driving , picnicing.

This does sound ancient, but also wonderfull.  How great it would be to actually be part of a roundup for the ponies, to be able to walk in those woods and see the deer still able to roam wild in the forest.  Sounds like a great place to go for walks and rides.

The pictures below is how I imagine the scenery to be  -  something from a Grimm story.....
