On your desktop should be a little computer with the name ImageResizerPowertoySetup  .... double click on it.....

 :36_2_35:  I'm hoping it's installed.... you can check this by clicking the start button on your desktop... the big green one in the bottom left corner....Goto ALL Programs and look if there is a program called POWERTOYS FOR WINDOWS XP

:36_2_24: .....ive got the icon on my desk top....when i double click it it takes me through install again lets me finsh ....then does the same every time i double click it...............if i go to programs....i have a read me file..........have i done something wrong........ :emot112:

Nope, thats perfect...it's installed, now go to your photographs on your pc, right click on anyone and click COPY...then goto your desktop and right click anywhere on the desktop and click paste....(It does'nt matter what pic)

come back as file is too large mike....yet as i did it it even said on the photo....small cat.....

Bev, before you attaach and post your pic, you must right click on the image, look for the "RESIZE PICTURES" and click on that....  A box will open , choose the small option and press OK... a new image will turn up with the name followed by brackets (SMALL)  that image is small enought to post on the forum....

Mike that is exactly what i did ....the small box was already ticked........it wouldnt let me post it saying file was too large....ive just looked in properties of the resized pic........the one that now says small.....and they are the same as the were before....650

Well that's a start, well done, I think you must do a bit more research into Georg's software, as the one I use is limited to three sizes only, Georg's program is more professional..... I must go to bed now, as my medication has kicked in and i should be able to sleep....... talk later......

I only changed the settings now to accommodate you, but ideally you should be resizing those pics down to less than 150 kb.......  enjoy posting more pics...
