Hi ,Nigel Hucker here ,fascinated with this site,loads of good memories.I remember you George Ruf Jnr.Ithink that you lived just up the road from me .My address was 22/3rd Avenue,Po box 544 Oranjemund.SWA 9015 Tel 582.Just got that of the top of my head.I left O'mund Jan 1978 to live in N. Wales,UK,a country ,not a town in England as some people believe.I married nearly 19 yrs with 2 kids.Alison my wife,daughter Donna nearly 18,son Joshua 14 .5.We also have foster kids with us full time.Anyway memories:Michelle Vickers,Julie Emmanuel,Danny ,Glen,&robbie Buchanan,their parents still in touch with my mother Helen Hucker.Tony Du Cruz,John Vogel.Paul Wilson.Jock & Vi Alexander,big flag pole in garden.OPS,lovely smell of fresh bread on way to school.Loads more names in head,just need to find them.In the trees that have been mentioned,I remember 1 episode of a kid missing the rope that we swung on like Tarzan.He fell from quite high up & landed  with a stick in his ear,I think it was quite serious,don't know if he was deaf in that ear.I remember Mrs Coffin ,bubble car,who had the Jag though.Beauvallon ,great braiis[bbq is what we have ].Drive to Cape Town,not great.Biltong,better than any sweet.Marble season 1 shy,2 shy,3 shy etc.Swimming pool ,nearly drowned there.Bioscope,used to sneak in there after Cubs & hide between swing doors &heavy curtains.S**t myself with Hitchcocks The Birds & walked out crying. Devil thorns,ouch.Does anyone remember the solitary squash court that no-one used.Any way I thank OPS for not allowing any spelling mistakes.Good times,for kids anyway.Too much alcohol for the grown ups!!! Hi Nigel.
Of corse you know me.I think we lived in 32/3rd. Steven was in my class Std. 3 and maybe 4. We used to go to the scouts together. I remember at least one birthday party at your place. There were more adults there than kids. hihi
Hope you enjoy the site. There's so much to read about.
