Is the Pope a Catholic ...... Shit Yeah!!!

Michael Alexander

I always call my off saturday's during rugby season, Super Saturdays.... The weather is perfect here, a mild 25 degrees, my fridge is bursting with beer, the braai meat has been marinated.... My mp3 collection is ready to roll.... and my Cheetahs take the sharks on in Durban at 16h00.... I'm gonna have a moerofa day...

U support the local sides over there?

How's it hanging Mike,
Your "Super Saturday's" sound pretty awesome! I support the Springboks big time, always have. I became a "rugby tragic" whilst residing in New Zealand, and supported the All Blacks during the time that the Boks were in the sporting wilderness. Once they were readmitted to the international fold, it has been the Boks all the way. I don't support any of the local sides, but out of the Aussie sides, I would go for the Western Force, as they are obviously the home side. We get some of the Curry Cup games televised on Pay TV here. Usually the semi's and final etc. Not live though.

I love the super 14, and to Gabi's displeasure, watch every game (94 this season,I think, with the world cup still to come ....... Yiiiiihaaaaa). I have some very late nights when watching the Saffa games. Mike, I'm afraid that this is where I am going to disappoint you. I'm a closet W.Province supporter ......... Yeah, I know, I can hear the abuse from there already ...... LOL. You see Mike, it all stems from my boarding school days at SACS in Newlands. Destiny was written all those years ago for me. I would like WP to take the title, but at the end of the day, I don't care who wins it, as long as it is a Saffa team!!
I hope you have a lekker day, and enjoy those Windhoeks. Have one for me. It's been too long since I last had a Windhoek run down my throat. Just don't get too pissed, or you may miss some great rugby!!

Michael Alexander

I guess if I had to pick an Aussie side it would be the Force, they gave a lot of teams a fright this year and can only improve to become the best Aussie side anyhow.... I'm off to the beach with the dog and the girls and the neighbours kids, it's lekker quiet down there at this time..... lotsa sandcastles to build...  ;D , ( I just build them because the kids asked me too, Ahem! )

Wp, are a shambles at the moment, bankrupt, mismanaged, and our (Cheetahs) coach has signed up with them, Rassie will pull them right...... Newlands is empty these days.....\

Anyhow, one of those beers is for you , the other for Robert and off course one for Bobby...

Hey Nicky, I'm HEDGEing my bets that the ROT has set in, or are you WEEPING in the WILLOWS?

Hello again Michele, ...... ROT ....... A little extreme maybe, but do confess to a little TERMITE affliction in my AUTUMN years. Hope your week has been fun. Mine has been a little on the BORING side. Is it a FIGment of my imagination, or have I just perhaps been GRAFTing too hard?  :-\

Michele Alexander (Voden)

Hi Nicky, I had a rather FRUITFUL week, just my youngest SAPLING is driving me BANANAS. Can't see the WOOD for the TREES when she is around - which is at the moment so will have to go now!

I totally understand, one cannot just PALM off the little ones. Try reading them the story of "Jack and the BEANSTALK". IT was very POPLAR when I was younger.

Michele Alexander (Voden)

Unfortunately she has outGROWN such children's stories and nursery rhymes such as "ORANGES & LEMONS", "ring a ring a ROSIE" and "Peter Peter PUMPKIN eater". Her mind is like ARID SOIL and SOAKS up everything! She is much happier chewing GUM and going to the BEECH!

The NURTURING now, will surely BARE FRUIT for the HARVESTING later, when the PICKINGS are RIPE. With all your hard work, the ORCHARD shall BLOSSOM.

Luckily as mother EARTH I have a SPRING in my step and am hoping that the APPLES don't fall too far from the TREE in that they don't become INFECTED with the FUNGI of this world! One has to have a deep ROOTED set of principles in order for the PRODUCE to GROW and FLOURISH.
