HERES  ANOTHER  ONE  " THEY " CAN  PUT  IN  THEIR  HATS AND  SMOKE !!  Mike  I  remember  your  story  about your  dad  being  the  first  " pensioner " to  stay on ...   the  question  about   why  they  did  not  want to allow  retired   people to  stay  on   and  spend  their  money  and keep  the town  going ...  The  sad  story  of  Gordon  Aspeling   when  he  retired    and tried  to stay  on  ..  was tracked  down and  sent off  .. he must  have  been  heartbroken  !!  He wanted  to  stay    on .. he  felt  secure  ..  and  yes  he  had  money to  spend  .. not  as  though  he  would have  been penniless ..  then  you  mentioned  in the  one  topic  about  all  the unemployed that come  down  from  north  looking for  work .. come  in  on  a permit   .. permit  expires  and  they  stay on  whether they  got work or  no  work .. many  of  them  spending  their  time   just  sitting in town center  ..   sad  and  true  fact  is  those  unemployed  are  a  CRIME TIMEBOMB  ..  why has  " them '  not  tracked    those  down  who  have  nothing  to  contribute  and  move them  out ..  or so they have  no  balls ???  so  if  any  of  " you "  are lurking / spying  (  which I  am  pretty sure  of )  take  that    question   and  put  it  to  a conscience  check ....

Methinks  many  would  ahve  liked  to  stay  on .. ..Think of  it  ..  they  would  not stay  for  free  ..  as  they  would  ahve ahd  to  pay  rent  etc  in  the " outside world "  all  the town   management   could  have  done was  charge a  levy  to   a  comparable  rate    of  what they would  have been  paying  ..   income .. income ...  and that  on  property  that  has  been  amortised  many  years  ago ...  and  as  you  said    all  those  extras  propping  up  the  economy  of  the town   paying  club  memberships ,keeping   social  activities  alive  as  they have more time  on  their  hands  etc  etc ...
Now  back  to  the  other  one  I  mentioned ..  the  unemployed  with  expired  permits ??
