Mike, happy to hear she's feeling better, nothing worse than seeing your child in pain - just a little advice for future ref tho - i always keep a bottle of oil of cloves around the house for those midnight tooth pains - helps ease the pain until you can get to a dentist/doctor - put some on cottonwool and bite down gently so the oil of cloves is on the sore tooth - works wonders.

have you tried BONJELA COOL.  we gave it to our boys when they were teething.  Keep it in the fridge , let her take it to school and she can put it on herself.  Doesn't taste as bad as clove oil.

Don't think that'll help. That stuff is supposed to cool everything down. It would probably hurt even more.

As I said earlier , as Kids we always got given whisky.... not to drink, but to numb the tooth and gums... Cameron would'nt open her mouth for anything....SO I drank the whisky...did'nt want to waste....

I wonder what  Bertie has to say on this one ?? I have a troublesome molar  that was rescued by my dentist .. capped ,, there is an underlying problem that seems to flare  causing abcess .. the emergency dentist said  that I would need root canal work  or extraction ... thats apparently terrifying .. so I left it after the antibiotics did their job .. it  started flaring again on friday night ... I thought there must surely be a natural way of stopping this flaring from becoming a full blown abcess .. found these tablets .. Nature fresh wild  Olive leaf .  took two tabs tucked them  in cheek on site of flare and allowed them to  slowly dissolve against the area .. when they had gone all soft from the saliva  left them as a sort of poultice  till slowly swallowed .. this took about an hour .. then followed with same about an hour later ... Viola ! flare up gone  and  no  pain or suffering ..  Ok  granted I caught it early .. but it worked ... Bertie  your opinion ??
