Over the years, many a class act would come to Oranjemund...who was at this show? And what do you remember?

I'm not sure about Des & Dawn but clearly remember going to a 4 Jacks and a Jill consert and also to a hypnotist show, I think he is a world-renowned hypnotist called Max or something similar.

That would be Max Collie, the late Max Collie, I also went to his show in the bioscope...

Don't remember that show, but do remember when the Springbok radio show 'Check your mate' was held in O'mund (early eighties). My folks took part and my dad had to make my mom guess the word 'bolt cutter' without saying certain words. It all got a bit out of hand when my dad asked my mom if she knew what a screw was ...

Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier. Friendship is a sheltering tree.

To be clever enough to get a great deal of money, one must be stupid enough to want it.

Those who bring sunshine to the lives of other cannot keep it from themselves.

She barely had time to murmur a 'uhhhmmmmm' before the audience burst out laughing and the talk show host reminded my folks that it was a 'family show' ... knowing my mom, things could have gotten out of hand very fast
