Hey Patrick, glad to see you can recall some of the incidences way back when. Warren Summers ... Not quite sure which incident you are referring to here, as there were so many. I am almost certain I know what incident you are referring to re: Steven Brownless. Delia Munn as a drum majorette, what a sight that must have been? ...... Gone weak at the knees just thinking about her .... Man, she was STACKED. I remember Sharon Justice well ..... She was pretty hot also. Wouldn't mind "Bumping" into her again myself Ha Ha. Sounds like we are going through a mid - life crisis hey?  Do you remember Mrs.Swart? We always used to ask her if she took SALUSA 45. Shame, she was only in her late twenties I think. I think Karma is paying us back now. Ha Ha.
Oh yes, I still remember Alison Bennett ............ EISH!!! ( My wife is probably going to want to know what the "nudge, nudge, wink wink was all about" ).Glad to know she is well and a mother now. Barbara, would you be able to get a message to her? Please tell her we send a big hello!! Cheers.
Patrick, do you remember when we got totally wasted in my pondok and decided to take a ride into town on our bikes? That must have been a sight to behold.

nicky/patrick - sharon justus lives in table view - see her around quite a lot - her oldest daughter goes to rustenburg girls high and her youngest is at the same primary school as my daughter in t view.  her and Hoddy (steven hodgson) were living together for quite a while (± 2/3 yrs ago) - used to see them both at school PTA's etc. but they're not together anymore.

hi barbara. all these names. i left namibia in 1979 and haven' realy been in kontakt. at least not for the past 25 years. steven hucker rip? what happened? he was a wild guy. very loud. just lived down the road. every time i see a pic. of eric clapton it reminds me of his dad. i remember he loved boozing.
vivianne. i think she had polio. always wonderd what kind of "cure" she might have had. i remember almost all you guys mentioned in this chat. it's a dream come true.

More likely hip displasia - which in those days took years to realign

Her legs didn't appear to have shown signs of polio later in life. May be wrong ?

Stephan Hucker sadly committed suicide at a young age, I think I was still at school, so 17 or 18 making it 1980 or 81
maybe Nicki can fill us in.

Personally Barbara, I have never gloated so much in my life Ha Ha. Believe it or not, most of the Aussies, although pissed off big time that they were sent home early, were actually supporting the Boks. They obviously hate England more, for destroying their dreams twice in a row. I still get reminded quite regularly however of that terrible day last year when the Boks went down 49 - 0 to those cocky Wallabies ..... ouch, that still hurts so much, but the world cup win has certainly dulled the pain. GO BOKKE !!!!!

Aw shucks .... thanks for the B/day wishes Barbara. Yeah, the braai should be smokin and the  should be flowing if not tonight, then certainly tomorrow!! Summer has finally arrived in Perth. We're expecting 36 Degrees tomorrow, and 37 on Monday. Not much of a birthday so far .... spent most of the morning visiting some turf farms, as I am having the front lawn replaced. Quite a few different varieties out there. It's the first deal for a long long time that I have done regarding GRASS LOL. ( I did ask if they had any Durban Poison, but just got a few blank looks. HeHe). I hope it's not too cold on that island that you live on. What sort of heating do you have?

Hey did you try the Malawi Gold variety - LOL. 
We have a statue in the garden and she's the only stoned one around our neighbourhood.

Luckily this house is well insulated, so the gas central heating set at 18 degrees works well.
We do have heavy drapes (curtains) and thick woolie socks, hot water bottles and whiskey.

Dressing to go out in this weather at night is a problem for me as I want to put woolies, gloves, scarfs etc on but when you get indoors of resturants and clubs you need to shed everything and most girls look like they just come from the beach - I haven't work out the layering procedure to look chic. Hahaha

Hey Barbara, I notice below your avitar the words " Blue skies make me happy" You would be one happy little "vegiemite" if you ever moved to Oz, as blue skies are pretty much the daily routine here. The daily Summer weather forecast goes something along these lines .... Tomorrow will be HOT, ****ing HOT, or EXTREMELY ****ing HOT with clear blue skies. I  worked with a Pommy bloke a few years back, and he said that his family actually became depressed due to the lack of actual weather. He started missing those notorious English winters. You do get used to it though. Awesome party weather however ...

In fear of this turning into another Horticultural thread, I shall  have to refrain from entering into any discussion on "Happy Cabbage".
