ive been in touch with ivans mother janet,now living in the uk ,reddidge,with dissastererst results,my intentions were good but unknowingly i brought a lot of bad memories back to her.they lived across the road to my family in om.i did not know that her husband had committed suicide in front of her daughter ,wendy,god if only i knew,i felt absolutely shit when her daughter angela foned me to say her mom never wants me to contact her again,this happened six months ago.ivan is in durban,he was injured in angola ,has not married,felicity lives in leeds/uk.angela is in the uk too,wendy is still in sa.cant say how sorry i was to upset aunty janet,total missunderstanding,hope she gets over it,as a family ,they have major shit to contend with,hope all comes together for them as i really cared for them as a child

Ivor Bester was the self appointed DJ from my time at the youth club, he was quite popular with the girls as I recall, they would line up on the stage and wait for some attention from the boy. he had a good picking.

Aah, Ivan Bester - the most amazing blue eyes ever.  I don't think there was a girl in o'mund that didn't have the hots for him at some stage.  paula wallace was probably the most envied girl of the time being his long time girlfriend.  i still have a photo of them slow dancing at the youth club.

owen de jager - we all got caught skinny dipping one night at the town pool (come kenny, you'll remember this night) by uncle jock carr and uncle ken aitken - owen was quite a tall guy and what made him pick the smallest tree to try and hide behind, i'll never know  :D

talking of jock carr,does any one know where the family are now,sandra was in my class at school,her boufriend at the time was nail bennet,in 1976 i briefly returned to om for 2 weeks,i stayed at brian eyres house and on my last day there we were all invited to carrot wilsons house for the best fondue ive ever tasted.do any of you recall a local character who went by the nick name of SPIDERMAN,someone mcCabe,god he was a little shit,

Yes Bobby I remember Spiderman his first name was John used to spend breaks at O.P.S climbing arond the tennis court fencing now and then Margie would have it in for him and chase him as we cheared them on.

Jock & Edna Carr are well. Saw them at Dave & Theresa's 25th Wedding Anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Both look well especially Jock, has'nt changed much except got a little older and shorter. Mrs Carr had health problems but despite that she looks excellent as well.
They have been living in Parow since their retirement.

I'm sure Kenny and Goofy will ditto that as they were there too.
