I am pleased to see that nobody has listed England as the place to come to. It is not a nice place at the moment, especially not with the Prime Minister and his lackeys whom we are forced to endure at this time.

Australia.  Great place, although my heart will always be in SA.

Tasmania is ok but I prefer the north coast of NSW which is sub-tropical.  Hobart is a nice small town of about 250,000

The winters in Tas are too long. My second best spot would be Perth - reminds me of CT in the early 80s.  Sydney and Melbourne too big. Darwin too tropical, Brisbane is sort of ok but very humid - sort of like Durban.  Lots of ex-Rhodesians there.  Must be the weather. Adelaide murderously hot in summer - 45+ C. Crazy. Canberra is ok but feezing in winter.  Also can't own a house there -  only a 99 year lease.

Been to Broom a few times - really good spot but rather expensve for such a small town.  An average house is about $350000-400000 about R1.5+ m

Gold Coast is VERY yuppyfied and expensive.

I'm in the process of buying a property at Coffs Harbour to retire to and watch the world go by.  You are all invited once I'm settled in - hopefully within the next 2-3 years.

Thanks.   I will print this post as a proof of the invite and show it to you when we pitch on your doorstep within 3 years.  What should we bring with  -  beer, a steak or two, biltong, wors.......  gotta plan the list, you know.

Will it be zimmerframe friendly?

My list for sure will be A - Z friendly.  Just don't know if our host is going to be so friendly when we all pitch at the same time, but then .....  he did place an open invite here and I have started on my list..

1.  Beer
2.  Beer
3.  Beer

that's it for now  -  will add on much later, but that I must not forget  -  the Beer!
