Georg .. your  tongue got a touch of purple on it ..  have you  been  at  my  shiraz while i was out ?? actually I went to Sloppy Sams in green point 2 nite .. I  went incognito ..  Hooman  Saffarian .. he married Karin Hoffmann .. I gave Hooman a lift up to O'mund   about 1979 , thats when the paw paw hit the fan in Iran .. he had met Karin in London  and his family advised him to  not  to  return to iran so  he  opted to come  to SA .. was  at Betty Wallis's boarding house in  sea point .. I was asked if I could give him a lift up to O'mund so that  he could join Karin  .. anyhow  .. me  went  there incognito  .. next time i go with  Richard and Debbie ... will re introduce myself .. many years and water under the bridge  ..  Nice  food  .. greek with a  persian touch ... bought a packet of sundried limes as  well to add to  stew.. stunning  .. used  the arab  version of dried lemons  before .. so  see what  dimension this  adds ......

Yep, I saw that today. Looks like site has been capped to prevent looters from helping themselves. Reckon the loot is worth more than the diamonds in the bedrock.
Sorry to say but no more pics will be available. Alf, you can chill now, hopefully you won't be bugged for more pics, cos even if your stick is up the pole and the camera was ok, the curtain has closed and the fat lady has sung.
The men in their black suits can now go and hassle Bob Magabe or try and save the Scorpions b4 Zuma stamps them out. Eish, man a showa ees not going too get reed of these guys.

Georgswa and myself received emails from a reporter with the Afrikaans national newspaper , the Republikein , about the wreck. I got a message from SPar telling me that she left a number for me to call her back, which I did..... She told me that they were going to print an article on the wreck and that she had already spoken to Dr. Nolie.... who told her that Namdeb should be realeasing a media brief in two weeks on the find.... I was more curious to know how she found our site.... She googled us........ Men in Black.....nothing to do with me.......   :36_2_35:

Hi Folks,

Article of Oranjemund shipwreck as in today's Cape Times, Cape Town newspaper.

Very interesting to think this ship has been under the sand for all this time.
Could have beached before Columbus found the "new world" or before the English destroyed the Spanish armada?
