Where is everyone today? I see Diana is on line now but where are the rest of you hiding?

It is a glorious day in Oranjemund, sun is shining and no wind.

Mike has just hijacked my laptop to print out the news reports about tomorrow nights Rangers match for Bryan and Stuart to read - they're still going to be in O'mund so no doubt there will be lots of shouting and swearing at the tv tomorrow night. Makes a change for it to be football and not rugby!

I wonder how Georg jr is enjoying his holiday - anyone know what the weather is like there at the moment?

Maybe I must start Happy Hour at the bar and more people might add some more posts.  1 free drink for every post made - how is that for a good deal? Just remember to tip the bar lady!

No wonder most O'munders drink so much!

Hi Michael - did you get my e-mail ?

Nearly home time - will leave at 4:30 so that I only have to battle the trafic for 1 hour instead of two.

just glad I have air-con in this car.  The last time we had a heat wave in this country I was about 8 months pregnant couldn't stick the heat,  at least I can enjoy it now , might get a bottle of Cider on the way home.....yum yum

Hiya Michelle - how was the first day back at school? Did you cope alright without the girls all day?

Michele Alexander (Voden)

Hi there, first day back at school was hectic - 5 books to cover and lots of homework! And I thought they would ease us into the term!

I'm a working mom so the girls are normally at daycare during the day - today I just had to remember that it was back to the 13h00 school run. Cameron goes straight to the daycare when she finishes school at 12h30 but I fetch Shannon, pop back home and then drop her at the daycare - it means a lot less bags when I pick them up at 16h00 from the daycare!

I used to love starting back at school - new shirts and new socks; after that it was all down hill......I think we used to have those navy blue plastic covers for our copy books............also did we used to have a story book about a house made out of bread, for a mouse - and he ate out the door and window...........does that story make sense to anyone?

Michele Alexander (Voden)

 :emot26:

Can't say I remember that story.

I must say most of the kids I saw at school this morning seemed pretty excited to be back at school, I'm not sure how long it will last though!

Cameron was already moaning about the homework this evening - and she's only in Grade 1! Does seem a bit unfair that she had quite a bit more homework than Shannon, a Grade 4 had.

Cameron has a new teacher this term and it is none other than Miss Joanna Kalondo, an ex-OPS pupil, she was teaching the grade 2's and there's been a bit of a shuffle around.

No way - Joanna was a buddy of mine when I was in OPS - WOW, I wonder if she remembers me.....

Michele Alexander (Voden)

I shall have to mention you to her when I see her again. Was trying to work out - she must be older than the twin sisters, Ebba and Ebben? They were in the same year as my brother. Her brother Kalondo Kalondo was in my year I think!

The twins are a year or so younger than her......remember the two of us had to keep an eye on them during a sports day at school
