We would normally hit the beach on A Saturday Morning, but it was a bit cool... and we thought Shadow would enjoy the Sand Quarry for the first time.....Oh! Boy and how..... Here are a few snaps. We also bashed into our friend , Unibok, remember him from earlier postings.... you will see some kids making tunnels, this should bring back a few memories for those of you that played down there as kids....

It was not warm, and for the first time I realised you could actually see the waves down at the river mouth breaking.... ok...on Zoom....

I also took some random pictures of the town, just to show the winter green... against the sand.... It was also lekker quiet up there......

Thanks Mike. That's great.
I just don't remember the quarries being that deep. Does that mean they've still been taking sand from there?

Mike Stenson (RIP)

Mike your quarry and Bertie quarry's could be two different places.
Bertie's quarry is near the Shellhole, north side of town, yours east side.
