I must admit that I was really chuffed to receive these photo's, this is what the site is about, besides connecting with lost friends.

Sandy, I see Iain in there!

So many faces I knew but cannot put names to. Good to see Bevan Grigg, who braved the cold stormy sea to save one of the Johnson girls from drowning.

And Mr Brunges! I remeber him from the Yacht Club. He had a special recreational/sailing jersey. Difficult to describe it save to say he always wore it. And gray shorts!

Lange! Hell I remember him from soccer and also the day he was given his Mohican appie's haircut. To me he was so incredibly tall. No wonder he played goalie.

Hi Mike,

Agree with you this is what the site is all about history and long gone memories.

As far as I can remember the Creedy and Hockney boys had a band called the "Sand Dunes" and played Shadows numbers? I remember watching them practise at a house in 11th Avenue in the 60s?

Keep them posting.

You can see how small the town was in the 60`s in this photo

Can you remember which house in 11th ave because we used to stay in number 4 for roughly 20years never knew who lived there before us?

Richard Opperman

This is really going back many years - I think it was the house on th corner of 11th and the road running down to the centre of town?
