Exchange???? Scouts - I think!!!

A memory just came flooding to mind - for no particular reason and I don't really remember all the details......... anyway here goes - As families in O'mund did we ever do student exchanges or did children from other countries come and stay, maybe to do with the boy scouts??? I recall a german boy coming to stay with us for a spell - my mom to this day still has the gift of mug coasters he brought as a gift..........all I remember of him was all of us heading to the park and throwing around a boomerang and also Shepherds neck springs to mind - Mike A can you help me with this.........

You're right Rhona. I'd completely forgotten that. We once had a young girl stay with us for a few days. Can't remember where the hell she came from. Don't think she had anything to do with brownies or guides though.

Maybe this guy wasn't from the scouts - I wonder what the exchange was about.............course I don't remember any of us heading away for a spell, so exchange isn't the right word - it was a visit of some kind..........does anybody know any more!!!

I only recal kids being around for sport events. Never the scouts.
